In this talk, given during the workshop ‘Virtual Reality in a museum context’ at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, I introduced existing concepts in the area of mixed reality and applications in the cultural context. I started with a brief historical perspective, relating to work by Ivan Sutherland and Tom Furness. Based on a slighted adapted continuum by Milgram & Kishino, I explained each concept and provided to each concept an example from the cultural context. A video presents each example, thus, please use the links provided to look them up.
