For LTE-over-copper systems,\u00a0however, the need for crosstalk cancellation varies depending\u00a0on the analog fronthauling architecture and its parameters.\u00a0A crosstalk handler that is decoupled as much as possible from<br>\nthe rest of the system architecture is thus preferred. Therefore,\u00a0we propose a time-domain precoding scheme specifically in\u00a0downstream direction to separate the precoding unit from the\u00a0LTE signal flow, and perform crosstalk cancellation in an ondemand\u00a0manner. Estimation of all direct and crosstalk paths is\u00a0assisted by LTE cell-specific reference signals. The time-domain\u00a0precoder transforms the interference channel into a crosstalkfree\u00a0channel with identical direct paths, which allows for lowcomplexity\u00a0inter-symbol interference mitigation. We evaluate the\u00a0concept in terms of signal-to-noise ratio provided for LTE signals\u00a0using measured wireline channel data.</p>\n\n<p>\u00a0</p>",
