We\u00a0investigate its system-level performance through simulation in\u00a0various realistic scenarios with frequency-selective Rayleigh\u00a0fading. Specifically, we are interested in comparing the performance\u00a0of Uplink CoMP with different cell types as well\u00a0as different user participation to CoMP transmissions. Our\u00a0simulation results confirm that edge users benefit from Uplink\u00a0CoMP, although the overall throughput decreases. In order to\u00a0mitigate the latter effect, we introduce two new parameters, called CoMP margin and CoMP Pool Percentage (CPP), and\u00a0provide guidelines for their effective use.</p>",
