{ "description": "
Within the framework of the Marine Boundary Layers Accelerated Research
\nInitiative (MBL ARI) a buoy-mounted optical system was developed for the
\nmeasurement of the small-scale structure of the ocean surface with high
\nspatio-temporal resolution. The system is capable of measuring two wave
\nslope components in an area of 15 x 20 cm with a dynamic slope range
\nof more than +-1.25 at a sampling rate of 30 Hz. Wave number spectrabr />\nup to a maximum wave number of 8000 rad/m can be measured with thebr />\ninstrument. During the MBL ARI West Coast Experiment the system wasbr />\nsuccessfully deployed in the field for the first time. Here, we provide abr />\ndetailed description of the instrument and present first results from thebr />\nWest Coast Experiment 1995./p>", "license": "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode", "creator": [ { "affiliation": "Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla CA", "@type": "Person", "name": "Klinke, Jochen" }, { "affiliation": "Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla CA", "@type": "Person", "name": "J\u00e4hne, Bernd" } ], "headline": "Measurements of short ocean waves during the MBL ARI West Coast Experiment", "image": "https://zenodo.org/static/img/logos/zenodo-gradient-round.svg", "datePublished": "1995-12-01", "url": "https://zenodo.org/record/10399", "@type": "ScholarlyArticle", "keywords": [ "MBL ARI West Coast Experiment", "short wind waves", "wind wave slope imaging" ], "@context": "https://schema.org/", "identifier": "https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10399", "@id": "https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10399", "workFeatured": { "location": "Heidelberg, Germany", "@type": "Event", "name": "3rd Intern.
