    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;The aim of this study was to improve the solubility of the poorly soluble drug Carvedilol by delivering the drug as a liquisolid Pellets. There are several techniques to enhance the dissolution of poorly soluble drugs. Among them, the technique of liquisolid compact is most promising technique towards novel aim. Polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400) used as solvent, Avicel pH 102 as carrier, and Kollidon VA 64 as the coating material. The liquisolid compact were prepared by Spheronization and extrusion to form liquisolid pellets. Further Pellets were evaluated for flow properties, disintegration time, drug content, and dissolution, DSC, SEM and XRD. The results for dissolution studies showed that liquisolid Pellets demonstrate significantly higher drug release rates than those of marketed ones. This was due to an increase in wetting properties and surface of drug available for dissolution. Increased wetting properties and dissolution rates leads to enhance solubility. The liquisolid technique appears to be a promising approach for improving the solubility of poorly soluble drugs.&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
