Description
Symplectoscyphus liouvillei (Billard, 1914)
(Fig. 11g, 12 f–g)
Material examined. ANT XV/3: 48-168, one colony, c. 105 mm high, with gonothecae; 48-197, one colony, c. 20 mm high; 48-220, one colony, c. 45 mm high, with gonothecae; ANT XXI/2: PS65/174, one colony, c. 280 mm high, on gravel, with developing gonothecae.
Ecology and distribution. Previously reported at depths between 65 (Peña Cantero 2008) and 536 m (Peña Cantero in press); present material collected from 228 to 416 m. Antarctic-Patagonian distribution (Peña Cantero 2017).
