The objective of ZDZW is to develop, integrate, and promote innovative, IoT-based, NDI services for process monitoring and control. Proposed inspection services are designed to meet the requirements of demanding industrial processes to enhance product quality and providing a crucial reward: life-cycle extension for components with high durability requirements. The ZDZW digital ecosystem will allow continuous and real-time communication between the different monitoring and control points of the production system. The digital ecosystem will be supported by AI technologies to create comprehensive machine learning & digital twin enabled solutions that will enable product defect minimisation whilst enhancing rework procedures and maximizing process sustainability.
To facilitate a wide and agile deployment in the form of suites, ZDZW adopts a modular, microservices-based approach, allowing the individual solutions to be adapted and integrated in different manufacturing scenarios, for diverse companies and at varying maturity levels assuring its cost-effectiveness and quality of service. The project will demonstrate the developed tools in six use cases, with the aim of reducing significatively the waste generated in the targeted manufacturing processes.
