The SUSTAINair project aims to apply circular economy principles to the design, manufacturing, operations and end-of-life phases of aircrafts, which is known as circular aviation. Introducing the circular economy to aviation and aerospace sectors seeks to reduce resource use, waste and emissions along the value chain, while also supporting the industry in its sustainable, climate-neutral transition.
This community is under construction, but provides a space for future sharing of circular aviation-related material.
As for now, this community is only for partners of the EU-funded H2020 project SUSTAINair - SUSTAINability increase of lightweight, multifunctional and intelligent airframe and engine parts. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 101006952.
By the end of the project, it is expected that the community will be open to the broader scientific and industrial circular aviation community in order to share and promote synergies with relevant stakeholders.
