We are a group of researchers specialized in a multi- and inter-disciplinary approach to issues involving the North American region. Our objective is to create a space for dialogue to compare different experiences, analyze and discuss new methodological approaches and epistemological positions, exchange publications, organize joint academic activities that allow all of us to deepen our knowledge about North America, and make our research visible to contribute to the education of new human resources and have an impact on public policies.

Goals and objectives

  • To encourage the exchange of knowledge by organizing a Biannual Congress on North American Studies.
  • To formulate mechanisms for disseminating knowledge about North America from the point of view of the social sciences and the humanities.
  • To foster the creation of collective, interdisciplinary, and inter-institutional projects for innovating in the field of studies about North America.
  • To position ourselves as a reference point regarding information exchange and dissemination of national and international academic activities, as well as for the publications produced in different places.
  • To link up with other national and international academic networks, as well as with governmental institutions and social movements.
