LoGov - Local Government and the Changing Urban-Rural Interplay aims to provide solutions for local governments that address the fundamental challenges resulting from increased urban growth and rural depopulation.

The LoGov project aims to provide solutions for local governments that address the fundamental challenges resulting from increased urban growth and rural depopulation.

The project identifies, evaluates, compares, and shares innovative practices that cope with the impact of changing urban-rural relations in five major local government areas:

  • local responsibilities and public services
  • local financial arrangements
  • structure of local government
  • intergovernmental relations of local governments
  • people’s participation in local decision-making

The research benefits from 18 partners in 17 countries and six continents that share their expertise and knowledge in the realms of public law, political science, and public administration.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie grant agreement No. 823961.
