ENLIGHT is a European University Network to promote equitable quality of Life, sustainability, and global engagement through Higher education Transformation. It brings together 9 comprehensive, research-intensive, universities with a strong reputation which share a deep commitment to their social responsibility (University of Bordeaux, Ghent University, University of the Basque Country, Comenius University Bratislava, National University of Ireland Galway, University of Göttingen, University of Groningen, University of Tartu, Uppsala University).

The ENLIGHT RISE (Research and Innovation agenda with and for SociEty) project supports the Research & Innovation (RI) dimension of the Alliance. It seeks to develop common R&I strategies, capitalize on its partners’ synergies to deliver on Europe’s greatest societal challenges, facilitate the sharing of capacity through unprecedented levels of collaboration, increase its ability to attract and retain talent, co-operate with our surrounding R&I ecosystems, and finally engage citizens in our scientific endeavours.
