Inclusive education

This is a collection of the publications of the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education.

The Agency is an independent organisation that acts as a platform for collaboration and active agent for policy change for the ministries of education in its member countries. It is the only European body maintained by its member countries with the specific mission of helping them to improve the quality and effectiveness of their inclusive provision for all learners. The Agency is currently made up of 31 member countries (35 jurisdictions).

All European countries are committed to working towards ensuring more inclusive education systems. They do so in different ways, depending on their past and current contexts and histories. Inclusive education systems are seen as a vital component within the wider aspiration of more socially inclusive societies that all countries align themselves with, both ethically and politically.

The ultimate vision for inclusive education systems is to ensure that all learners of any age are provided with meaningful, high-quality educational opportunities in their local community, alongside their friends and peers.

The Agency’s latest open-access publications are available below. The Agency Open Access Policy allows the public to freely access, download and share these resources.

Publications are available in up to 25 languages. The Agency's official languages are Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish.

The publications have been funded with support from the European Commission.
