Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 14) wingspan 23.5–25.5 mm. Calamotropha josettae is characterized by the white forewing with a slender clavate black medial band that extends from above the middle of the fold obliquely upward to near upper corner of cell, and the orange yellow terminal margin with three black dots on posterior 1/3; in the male genitalia by the costa with four spines distally, the phallus tapered towards apex, and the vesica with one small and two tiny spine-like cornuti (Li & Li 2012: Fig. 4B); in the female genitalia by the ductus bursae about three X as long as the corpus bursae (Li & Li 2012: Fig. 5B).
