Welcome to the data repository of the TCV-X21 studies performed with the
gyrokinetic code GENE-X!

This repository contains the data that supports the findings of the study that
is published in Phys. Plasmas. Three global electromagnetic gyrokinetic
simulations have been performed. A collisionless (No Coll), one with a
Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) collision operator and one with a Fokker-Planck
type Lenard-Bernstein/Dougherty (LBD) collision operator. The data underlying
all figures (1-18) in the study is provided as well as additional data for the
turbulence characterization (figure 13-18) of the collisionless and BGK
simulation. For future reference, the set of input files for the three
simulations is provided.

To start, consider the jupyter notebook that is provided (or the python version
of it). It will load the data from the netCDF file and re-create simplified
versions of all the figures. The code therein provides an exampe on
how to load the data and how to use it.
