speak of judgment that during the Old Testament time,
famines were associated with economic times,
and the economy can also be related today
to the stock market.
Of course, the stock market is tanking,
and there will be pestilences,
or pestilences means new diseases in,
next one, Doug, in the 1980s and 70s,
people thought there would be end of things
like polio and tuberculosis because of all the vaccines,
but this did not happen.
Instead, in the 1980s, next slide, Doug,
the 1980s, we saw a huge rise in the number
of new diseases like AIDS, Ebola, dengue fever,
Korean hemorrhagic fever, West Nile virus, SARS,
monkeypox virus, and the list goes on and on,
and right now we're talking about bird flu pandemic.
So there's so many different new diseases out there,
and at no other time in history have we seen
so many different types of viruses,
strange viruses that are puzzling
a lot of these epidemiologists.
These scientists cannot figure out
why we're having so many of these new diseases
coming about, next slide, Doug.
Then Jesus went on to say there would be earthquakes
in various places.
Now, there are, we've had a lot of earthquakes
in the last 70, in the 1970s, 1980s.
Of course, we had the Pakistan earthquake
a couple of years ago this year.
We had the big China earthquake,
and just this year alone, we've had several
in the 6.5 and over range.
Again, earthquakes, major earthquakes
have been happening throughout the world.
Then Jesus went on to say these are the beginning
of sorrows or birth pangs.
As the women who have had children,
you understand that birth pangs,
your labor pains come with frequency and intensity
as the time of your delivery becomes nearer and nearer.
Then Jesus went on to say,
they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you,
and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
And then many will be offended
and will betray one another and will hate one another.
In the generation leading up to the year 2000,
there's a lot of missionaries who claim,
and there's a lot of reports from Billy Graham Association
and other evangelical areas that said
that between 150,000 to as many as 300,000
Christians are martyred every year in third world nations.
Now, that figure is really hard to comprehend.
Between 150,000 to 300,000 Christians
are being killed every year for their faith.
Now, these are the Christians
who are really winning souls for Christ,
and they know what the trials and persecutions
are going through, and they cling to the message
of Christ's second coming.
For a lot of American Christians,
because we live in such comfort and leisure and entertainment,
we really don't know what persecution is all about.
But Jesus said that persecution would arise.
I have had several books that I've read
that Christians will experience these trials
and persecutions within the next few years.
Hopefully, that doesn't happen.
Then Jesus said that many false prophets
will rise up and deceive many,
and because lawlessness will abound,
the love of many will grow cold.
These books on cults, I myself was
a member of this cult called Christian Science.
The three big cults, the three major cults,
Mormonism or the Church of Latter-day Saints,
Jehovah Witness, and Christian Science,
those were founded by the false prophets of Joseph Smith,
Mary Baker, Eddie, and Charles T. Russell during the 1800s.
But since then, there has been such an explosion of cults
all across the world.
From Christian Science, we branched out
into the Unity Church.
We have the Unitarian Church.
There's so many different cults out there.
One report said that in LA alone, there's over 2,000 cults.
And there's a lot of these false prophets
claiming to be prophets of God.
And I was speaking to a gentleman back there
and got some material that said, this guy
claims to be a prophet of God.
And he just threw away the information, the literature.
Why is this thing to do?
Because there are so many people who
claim to be prophets of God.
And basically, they're all false prophets.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world
as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.
Now, in the 1990s, 1980s, we saw the Berlin Wall come down.
And a lot of the East Bloc nations of communism
were reached with the gospel.
In Desert Storm 1991, a lot of our soldiers
went into the Middle East and shared the gospel
into areas like Saudi Arabia that you could not
bring a Bible in, but our soldiers shared their faith.
Now, Albania was one of the hardest
to reach countries in the world with the gospel.
Christianity was barred.
But in the 1990s, Albania was open to the gospel.
North Korea, some of these countries
that banned Christianity.
So basically, every nation of the world
has been reached with the gospel.
In one Bible study that I had, I
was speaking to a group at an intermediate school.
And this one missionary lady came up to me and said,
Frank, I believe all that you said about the signs,
but there's one point that you're wrong about.
And I said, oh, what was it?
And she said, well, the gospel has
been reached in all nations, but not every people group.
And I said, well, that may be true.
But in Lutz gospel, and in Mark, and in Matthew,
it says this gospel should be reached into all nations.
In a book of revelations, it says,
and every tribe, tongue, and people
will be reached with the gospel.
And during the tribulation period,
that's when this Jewish evangelist, 144,000,
not Jehovah Witnesses now, 144,000 Jewish evangelists
will reach the entire world, every people group,
with the gospel.
And then the end will come.
Now, the end is not the rapture of the church
at the beginning of the tribulation, which JD and I
believe it will be a pre-tribulation rapture,
where Christ will come before the tribulation begins.
But the end is at Armageddon, when Jesus comes back.
So if the gospel has already been reached to all nations,
how close are we?
Now, I think for myself, I brought some books
that I wanted to show you.
And they're written by a total of about 27 different Christian
scholars and authors.
And the titles of the book were, Why I Believe We Are Living
in the Last Days, Storming Armageddon is One,
and Prophecy at Ground Zero is Another.
I can't remember the other fourth book.
But it was a compilation of manuscripts
that were written by all of these Christian scholars
throughout the world, scholars who
preach on the Second Coming of Christ,
why they believe we are in the last of the last days,
that we are this generation.
And it's really interesting to read what they have to say,
because, again, it's hard to go to a church
to find somebody preaching on the Second Coming of Christ.
And so when I came to visit Calvary Chapel, Connolly,
I was really blessed.
I said, praise the Lord, somebody
is preaching on prophecy.
Glory to God.
I mean, you guys do not believe how blessed you are.
And I believe that as the coming days transpire,
Calvary Chapel, Connolly will be blessed.
I mean, this congregation is going to grow,
because JD's message will go out,
and more and more Christians will see the times we
are living in, and they will come.
They will come.
JD and I, David Blevins from One Love Ministries,
and I was trying to get Bill Stonebreaker or Bud Stonebreaker
to have a prophecy conference in November.
But we couldn't get the venue.
We may be thinking about doing it in February or March.
And we really feel led, because time is short.
And we can see all of these signs
of the prophecies of Christ's Second Coming being fulfilled,
and we see the importance of it, that the congregations
or the believers should hear the prophetic word.
And if they're not getting it from the pulpit
or through different churches, they should come and hear
speakers who do teach and preach on prophecy,
because prophecy from the Genesis through Revelation
on the First and Second Coming of Christ
is 28% of the Bible.
