We are at Bloc Togra Fest 2016.
We are getting ready to print our 8 foot by 4 foot blocks that we've carved and essentially made a giant stamp and we're going to roll over it with a nice big steam roll over there.
It's a little bit of a self-portrait series I've been working on that deals a lot with water, sense of place, home, myself.
Most of the work I do incorporates themes of sea level rise and climate injustice and more recently incorporating myself and my body.
So what's happening is obviously some water, some plants that are kind of representative of my mother and my home, topographic lines.
These are actually details of the Luana house.
I chose to do kind of these conglomerates of people almost camouflaged or blended in with the landscape.
This one is focused in the community of healing within people who are dealing with anxiety and finding a community, finding a space to heal.
It's a little bit sad but it's also hopeful at the same time but without getting into too much detail.
That's essentially what it's about.
They're not really meant to be portraits of people but portraits of a community but they are Natalie, Jesse and Kara.
So the Luana house I used as models.
Typically most of my stuff I use our house as models.
Three spouted pot things.
So that's it for today's video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
I'll see you in the next video.
Thanks for watching.
