We gather here today together united in one cause. The time is now. We must stop
suicide. We are here. United we stand. We are the survivors left behind. We no
longer carry a burden of guilt. We acknowledge the pain that accompanies
the grief. Together our voices tell our story. We are here to share with one
another and with you. We stand here today to stop the stigma. Forever gone but
never forgotten and forever missed. I'm Matt Wallin from Draper. I'm walking
from my brother Eddie and if he was here with us today we'd be heading to the
U-game in a couple hours and probably getting in some trouble. So we're
thinking about him today.
Every tear, every memory, every thought, every breath we continue to produce. Our
loved ones live through us. We hold them in our hearts treating this tragedy with
nothing but dignity. Not letting it define our last memories or the
irreplaceable person that suicide has taken away from us.

The life gone is more than that. Our voice is more than that. Our futures are
seasoned by the heartache we feel and experience on a daily basis. We love them
more than yesterday and less than tomorrow. There is hope. There is help and we are
here to be part of the solution. It's really easy to come together on a day
like today to share in the mission of out-of-the-darkness organization, a
mission that saves lives and brings hope to those affected by suicide. We are the
faces, we are the people, we are the survivors that are left behind.
