Hi, Jeremy Fuchs, the president of the Art and Copy Club and Pachakacha Fischinato.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time and agreeing to do a presentation at Bulletproof, our first Pachakacha event.
I thought I would put this video together for you to help you become a Pachakacha superstar.
It's really not hard to do, but there are a few guidelines and things that you might want to know before you get up there,
so that way you know what you're getting into.
A few things that are actually pretty important, really.
The first thing to think about is that in the Pachakacha form, 20 slides, no more, no less.
If you've got a pre-existing deck that you're wanting to use, make sure you distill it down to only 20 slides,
because that's just the way it works.
So get it down, get it concise, and as you're thinking of what you need to say per slide,
the most important thing is that it's 20 seconds, no more, no less.
These slides right here, they're auto-advancing every 20 seconds, just like your presentation is going to do the night of the event.
So if you've got something to say, make sure you don't go too deep, or that you've got multiple slides that you can go across,
because the timing goes fast.
You think 20 seconds, oh no big deal, but it goes pretty fast.
Timing is everything.
You can see there was that quick little segue there.
You might want to get your deck done in plenty of time, so that way you've got a few days to practice it and get your timing down,
because you know, I know you want to look good for everybody, right?
Of course you do.
Timing is everything.
So audio, video, it's all free game.
Anything you want to put into your slides is fine.
We don't care.
But beware, it's not going to be presented on your computer, it's going to be on a master computer,
so you want to make sure that everything works perfectly, because anything could and might go wrong.
So you've been warned, do what you think is necessary.
We're going to do this in Keynote.
So I'm imagining that pretty much everybody that we've got scheduled is going to have Keynote available.
But if not, don't worry.
Just do your slides in PowerPoint, or make JPEGs, and we'll get them put into the deck properly for you.
Decks are due April 20th.
That is the Monday before the event.
That will at least give us a few days to get the decks ready and get them all into sequence,
because it's going to be one big long, you know, 200-side deck.
And so that way we know that everything's going to work, and if we have problems,
then we can contact you in plenty of time before the event.
Make sure that it works.
This is a pitch.
This isn't a pitch.
This is just for fun.
You know, you're getting up there just to hang out and show some cool work,
and talk about something interesting to your fellow ad club colleagues.
You know, there's nothing riding on the line other than, you know, just whether or not you blow your timing.
So no pressure.
Did I mention that timing is everything?
It really, really is.
You've got to go for it.
But, you know, the thing of it is, if you have a drink, relax, and just have fun with it, you know,
it's very, very easy to become a Pachaca Superstar, and you'll have a great time.
You'll do great, and I'm sure everybody will enjoy what you've got to say.
Thank you.
