We're here at Fibro offices on Nardelli, this is kind of the inspiration shelf here at Fibro.
I just kind of always have stuff going on that I'm either psyched on or references or
book or whatnot.
It's just a shelf.
It's always like kind of changing on stuff.
This right here is our join or die record that is gold, you know actually it's a record
I bought at some used record stores for a painted gold but it was kind of our, it was
our prop at the trade shows because you know holding a record is way cooler than holding
the DVD.
So you know we brought it back to vinyl to kind of rep and we're proud of our video
so we turned it gold for ourselves.
Bad Brains, one of my favorites and taking the Bad Brains with me for life, it's like
the illest.
It's a compressed book, it's just kind of like, this is our logo actually.
So Casey Stamps over on, I think it's 13th Street in these bills here in Tompkins.
That guy helped me make our logo way back.
Dank Magazine, these are some extended Fibro family that is in Norway, good people, like
super close friends over there and some of our riders actually, this guy Henrik who has
a sick line in our video in the flow trash section, I think it's like Columbus Circle
at night, super sick dude.
And over here, this is the new series of pro boards from Fibro that speak to the video
of the Joyner Die video, this is our Joyner Die Snake, it's kind of our second mascot
to Fibro.
The first one being the pigeon that all the guys have tattooed on them, which is a, you
can see on the nose of every board, like the pigeons up there, here it is on pencils, there
it is on geoms, follows kind of there, acres, toke, I think we all know at this point he's
like a chain-smoking cigar fan and we thought that just cigar boxes like the super ordinate
type, the gold pits, you know, it just feels like an authentic cigar box, pencil, I believe
he's the first, I think he is the first to get a Fibro tattoo on his arm with a broken
skateboard and fire, but we gave him like kind of traditional tattoo flash.
Beyond, he's our pro in France, that his part is banging it, it's like almost all New York
and he's got one of the illest styles that makes him want to go skiing with him, so it's
like, but his photographic ties back to Bordeaux, which is like the wine producing capital
world.
So yes, I did this one personally, I had a good trip to Peru with him and when I was
down there it was like these super bright fluorescent ink posters that are actually
being made in Peru by like a family owned business in there, like they have a specific
one called Chicha posters I believe, Willy Akers, he, Akers has two tattoos on his shoulder
lid of Keith Herring, it's like one of his favorite artists, one on his bike, one on
his skateboard and it was felt for Willy, he's just that dude that's on fire, super
vibrant and I want his board of youth to write his book and Keith's art, so basically he's
called Keith's art and Willy has an ink on him so it's like to get on his board of
one too.
Rafael Gomez, Rafa is a Brazilian skateboard, he was like skateboarder, skateboarder of
the year Brazil 09, he's like such a six skateboarder, he's up here, he's got a lot
of your footage in the video and there's this green snake, it's like a snake in Brazil
and we just thought to call away that snake and doing a little bit of the Brazil flag
up on the nose was, he's got pride, so here at Ishizawa, he's been pro for five or four
many years now and we just kind of like referenced the, we felt like the snake and kind of translate
that into a Japanese graphic language, you know the koi fish posters that you've seen
and kind of the colorway it was taken from old Japanese textile design where they like
died into those and stuff, so that kind of where him came in.
Some of these are like his reference like some detailing from, I think in Japanese like every
family has a mom they call it and it's kind of like some heritage like graphic like a
shield or something, so we kind of took some elements from his mom on that, but yeah they're
every one of these boards, you know pencils, toots, geoms, follows, acres, raphiles, akirs,
like they're all like something to me that the icon stands for what FABRO is about and
by the same token they're all super personal to the crew and I think that's just like a
good way to celebrate the video and like giving those guys like proper board graphics, so
we're selecting those.
