As most of you know, Ashley and Scott are a unique couple.
When relationship experts suggest or recommend that you take your time to really get to know
someone before considering marriage, most don't mean for you to take 20 years to do
so.
So I'm told that we could be the house only if we could call it home.
As I wrote and re-wrote these vows, I struggled with what words I should use to convey what is in my heart.
Nothing I say today can possibly begin to describe how much you mean to me.
Ash, who would ever thought 20 or 25 years ago that we would end up here?
Today I am the happiest man.
It amazes me that I met you over 25 years ago and the fact that we were lucky enough to find our way back to each other when the timing was right reinforces what I know with all that I am.
That you are and have always been the one man to build a life and family.
You're my best friend.
The one that makes the worst of days seem alright.
I can't wait to be your wife.
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created. In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things.
I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Scott, you may kiss your bride.
