Good dancing though. I got my dancing underwear on.

Sometimes people ask me if I'm still motivated to go windsurfing. A lot of people even ask
me if they haven't seen me in ages. Do I still windsurf? And I look at them like, you mean of
course I still windsurf. You know probably windsurf more than I should given the whole
scope of responsibilities in my life and everything I've got going on. I'm still so motivated to go
windsurfing. Especially living here on Maui where the conditions are so good so often.
It's right at the top of my list most of the time.
You know windsurfing is a dynamic sport that I think if you have the conditions like we have
here and you have the equipment available like I've got that's constantly evolving and you're
always getting new stuff and there's always something new to test it's impossible to get bored.
You know it's a sport that just keeps you on your toes and keeps challenging you. You never
perfect it. You're always getting spanked and just the pure sensation of especially wave riding
and jumping you know is is not something that you're going to ever get sick of. You might get
pulled in other directions in life have other priorities or get injured or what but you're
not going to wake up one day and go oh I don't want to do that there's just no way.
I've always had a like a fascination for speed the sensation of speed especially
and I always told people that man to get the same feeling in a car that you get going fast
windsurfing you'd have to go like 200 miles an hour. Where windsurfing if you go 25 or 35 or 40
knots it feels like you're going so fast but you're in this totally safe environment you can
crash get up swim back to your rig do it again we're in a car you're definitely in a whole
different dynamic and danger but I love that thrill I love the technical aspect of cars
just the whole design aspect I've been sort of infactuated with them since I was a kid
and windsurfing is so damn hard that it's always challenging you know it's there's always something
new to try or something old that you want to do again because you're getting rusty on it.
The thing about windsurfing is that there's so many different aspects to it and you know these
days I'm spending most of my time wave sailing and then I get out and test gear and do photo shoots
for free ride and slalom and whatnot so when I get out on that equipment that I haven't ridden
for a long time it's super fun just because I'm not doing it every day anymore for me it's
it's more about letting go and letting the guys test and develop and then coming in and making
sure that we're heading in the right direction before things are final and then filling my day
with all the various different things that I've got to do and if I'm going to drive past Hoquipa
and I see that it's good wave sailing to go down to Kanaha and go test free ride sails that's pretty
tough you know I do it but nine times out of ten I'm going to stop at Hoquipa and go wave sailing.
