That's the Surfer Wave for saying hello and welcome to Summer Quest 2008 Turtle Beach
Blast.
What is Turtle Beach Blast?
Turtle Beach Blast is a week-long beach party where you'll make crafts, play games and worship
God who created this most beautiful awesome place.
And here on Turtle Beach, this week we have a special name for you dudes and dudettes.
You're going to be called Wave Riders.
And me, I'm Jeffrey Wachelhoff III, but out here on the Hawaiian Islands, I'm known as
the king of all surfers, Jay Wach.
Wave Riders, did you see me carving up those Mondo Savage waves?
Who would have thought that here on Turtle Beach that I, Jay Wach, would happen across
some real-life turtle eggs.
This looks like the Dermachiles Caracias species, also known as the Leatherback Turtle.
The hatchlings usually stay inside the egg for about 70 days, and when they're ready to
hatch out, they use a special tooth called a carbuncle to help them break the shell.
Little dudes, what's going on in there?
Do you like hatching?
Kitchy, kitchy, kitchy goo.
Whoa!
Oh, little dudes probably hungry.
Sea turtles are both carnivorous, meat-eating, and herbivorous, plant-eating.
And you may be asking yourself, self, what's on the sea turtle's menu?
Let's try some squid, shrimp, sea vegetation, algae, and jellyfish.
Same little dude.
Want a jellyfish sandwich?
This is for you, little dude.
Oh, a most intense appetite.
Whoa!
Whoa!
Sorry, little dude.
That was my last sandwich.
Ah!
Leatherback on the move!
A most narrow escape.
Wave run.
Be on the lookout for me this week as I ask the Aquacam question of the day.
Do all things for the glory of God.
Even ride the rook time.
