This is 5 and 10 on Skywatch TV for Monday, August 14th.
I'm Derek Gilbert.
Topic number five today, of course, is Charlottesville, Virginia.
No doubt you've seen the picture on the screen behind me by now.
A Dodge Challenger allegedly driven by 20-year-old James Fields of Mommy, Ohio drove the car
into a crowd of people, counter protesters who were there to protest against the Unite
the Right rally in Charlottesville.
One person was killed, 19 others were injured, dead as 32-year-old Heather Hyre of Charlottesville,
a woman killed in the attack.
Fields is charged with one count of second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding,
and one count of hit-and-run with the intended failure to stop with injury.
Now, the media has characterized the rally, the Unite the Right rally, as white supremacist
and no doubt there was a strong racist element there among the marchers.
You can see the picture behind me.
James Fields is in the middle of the picture there wearing the dark glasses and holding
the shield with the crossed fascis, fascis.
Those are bundles of rods with an ax, you know, around an ax.
That was the symbol of Benito Mussolini's fascist party in Italy in the 1930s and 40s.
In fact, that's where the term fascist comes from.
It was another symbol that goes back to ancient times that was appropriated by Nazis and fascists
in the 20th century.
In fact, the United States winged Liberty Dime, which was minted in the U.S. between 1916
and 1945, featured a fascist on the back, but I digress.
The white supremacists, bluntly, are idiots.
In fact, the pictures I've seen like this one here show these guys looking like cosplayers
at a science fiction convention or something.
You see, the guy on the far right of that image has got a shield with the Nazi black
sun symbol.
Look, the fact that these guys are hateful and idiots are beside the point.
We did have a permit to march, and in a free society like the United States, as long as
we assemble peaceably, we have the right to do so, but we now live in an era where that
is no longer allowed.
According to the progressive left, the Antifa movement, with the tacit approval of our media,
it is okay to punch fascists.
The problem is that, unlike the actual fascists behind me, anybody who disagrees with them
is a fascist.
If you disagree with open borders, you're a fascist.
If you disagree with the LGBT movement, you're a fascist.
If you criticize President Obama, you're a racist, and then probably a fascist as well.
It is a toxic situation, and I'll talk more about why this is happening at the moment.
On Saturday, the situation spiraled out of control.
According to Fox News reporter Doug McElway, when counter protesters from the so-called
Antifa movement, anti-fascist movement, who are actually behaving like the brown shirt
fascist thugs that they say that they hate, showed up ready for a fight, throwing, according
to a spokesperson for the Virginia State Police, soda cans filled with cement, McElway said
that he was standing near a unit of policemen, and when things started to get ugly, in fact,
when somebody deployed tear gas, somebody not from the police, the police withdrew.
And the reporter, McElway, asked, where are you going?
And the officer in charge said, we're getting out of here, it's too dangerous.
So Antifa and the KKK were allowed to go toe-to-toe by the police with no security forces in between.
Now I empathize with the police.
Most of America on Saturday, like you, me, Sharon, most of us here at Skywatch TV, we're
enjoying a pleasant day off.
Watching TV, I was writing, Sharon was writing, other people here at Skywatch TV were actually
playing and listening to music.
That's what the police in Charlottesville wanted to be doing, but instead they had to
be called out on a Saturday to try to get in between two groups of people that only
wanted to punch each other.
So I can't say that I really blame the police, although I would like to know who ordered
the police to stand back and let the Antifa guys start swinging away.
But to be fair, McElway said that the Unite the Right marchers were there spoiling for
a fight as well.
There are no good guys in this scenario.
And thanks to the attitudes of the people who came to Charlottesville on Saturday, a
woman is dead, and in fact two state police officers are dead as well when their helicopter
crashed just inside city limits.
Not surprisingly, the media is all over Donald Trump, blaming the president for what happened
on Saturday.
He didn't explicitly condemn the violence.
Oh wait, yes he did.
He just didn't do it the way they wanted him to.
You see, he condemned the violence, quote, in the strongest possible terms, end quote,
condemning all hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides.
Those are the president's words.
Because he didn't specifically say white supremacists, the media is all over him and
trying to blame him for the actions of a few.
Because by not specifically condemning the white people involved in this rally, the white
supremacists, he's implying that the Antifa movement and Black Lives Matter might also
bear some responsibility for the tensions that resulted in fists flying and people being
injured on Saturday.
But this is no surprise.
I mean, remember back on Inauguration Day when people dressed in black and wearing masks,
scarves over their faces, tore up Washington D.C., not my president?
You remember how the media called that a protest instead of a riot?
You remember when in Berkeley, California, when people dressed in black and wearing masks
over their faces tore up that city because a conservative speaker had been invited to
address the university there?
That was called a protest and not a riot.
The irony of all this is that while the progressive left is waxing, eloquent, and self-righteous
in condemning the fascists who marched in Charlottesville on Saturday.
Journalists trying to pin the violence on President Trump are conveniently forgetting
the actual fascists, the actual Nazis, supported by the Obama administration in the coup, the
revolution that took place in Ukraine in 2014.
And the pro-Russian president, Viktor Yanukovych, was run out of the country by groups like
the Azov Battalion and the far-right Svoboda Party with the support, again, of the United
States foreign policy apparatus at that time directed by the Obama administration.
But to be fair, the revolution in Ukraine is something that's been pushed by the United
States for a long time under the George W. Bush administration as well.
Remember the Orange Revolution back in the day?
Yeah.
The second phase of it, funded by George Soros, by the way.
And again, at the heart of this revolution in Ukraine, actual Nazis, actual fascists,
supported by the progressive government of the United States, liberal elements within
the government.
Now we're not going to solve this in 10 minutes or less, obviously.
And there is plenty of hypocrisy to go around.
Left, right.
That's by design.
The enemy, the true enemy, principalities, powers, rulers of spiritual darkness, want
us angry at each other, want us getting violent with one another, want us hating one another.
Because when we do, they win.
Sadly, there are plenty of useful idiots on all sides, or on many sides, as President
Trump said, who are more than happy to oblige the principalities and powers.
What can we do?
Take a deep breath and pray, pray hard.
Topic number four, North Korea.
Satellite photos showing that North Korea is preparing for a satellite missile launch.
This news comes just days before the communist country is threatened to launch missiles at
the U.S. controlled territory of Guam.
Meanwhile, the Military Times is reporting that less than half of our bomber fleet is
actually ready for action, contrary to President Trump's characterization that it's locked
and loaded.
In spite of his pronouncement, our B-2 bomber fleet, according to one analyst, down to single
digits that can take to the air at any given time, budget cuts during the Obama years.
One more thing, the New York Times reporting that the secret behind the most recent successful
missile tests by North Korea, black market purchases of rocket engines from Ukraine.
Yeah, apparently after the revolution in 2014, the government-owned factory producing rockets
lost its biggest customer, Russia.
And so to keep the lights on, apparently they've been selling rocket engines on the
QT on the black market to Kim Jong-un.
Topic number three, update in the Middle East.
Some experts warning that the CIA's withdrawal from Syria could cause pro-U.S. rebels to join
the Islamists.
What they haven't already.
I bring this up not because I agree with these experts, but just because this is what the
interventionists, the neocons, are telling the media.
These so-called experts are saying that this withdrawal by the CIA, this secret plan to
arm and train moderate rebels, could cause the suddenly unemployed fighters to join
jihadist organizations.
This secret plan goes back to 2013 during the Obama administration, codenamed Timber
Sycamore.
We talked about this.
You remember, by the way, this went side by side with the U.S. Army's program to train
and equip moderate rebels, and we talked about that, $500 million spent to train five soldiers
who actually made it to the field.
The reason President Trump ended the CIA program as we reported last week was that he saw the
video of these CIA-supported rebels beheading a teen boy in the back of a pickup truck near
Aleppo in Syria.
Topic number two, building the wall.
Not here.
Turkey is building a border wall with Iran, about a 90-mile wall trying to stop the influx
of Kurdish militants and smugglers across the border from Iran.
And in Israel, Israel also building a wall.
This one is underground.
They're building an underground wall to isolate the Gaza Strip from Israel to prevent Hamas
from using tunnels to come into the country and attack Israelis.
They're going to extend this underground wall out into the Mediterranean to prevent them
from digging tunnels under the ocean and coming back in and around.
And topic number one, rather appropriate with all of this gloom and doom today, prepping.
Apparently, it is big business right now.
With all of the insanity we're talking about, it's not a surprise that preparedness items
are flying off shelves.
It's actually not really a bad idea.
Business is booming for preparedness supplies, thanks to Kim Jong-un and particular potassium
iodide tablets.
Potassium iodide should theoretically replace the iodine that your thyroid takes in so that
if for some, by some chance, nuclear radiation does make it here to these shores, you won't
be taking your radiated iodine in with your food.
Potassium iodide tablets, selling quickly along with things like gas masks, body suits
and respiratory filters.
Now, look, we're not trying to stir up a spirit of fear here.
That's not from God.
We are not given a spirit of fear.
And I would just say this, Kim Jong-un is a survivor.
He's not an idiot.
He might be crazy, but he's not an idiot.
And he doesn't want to rule over a pile of radioactive rubble, which is what he'd have
left if he does something stupid.
But you just don't know what the weather is going to bring, for example, next week, next
month, next year.
Don't know what new disease might hop a plane in Africa and make its way over here or
somewhere else in the world.
It doesn't have to be Africa.
But as we learned with Ebola, it's just one international flight away from our country.
You never know when this crazed violence as the Balkanization of America continues might
make it difficult for you to get groceries or medicine that you need.
So being prepared isn't being afraid, it's just being wise.
So don't wait.
