Advertising is often thought of as this modern day fad. In actuality, it's been around for centuries.
My name is Dan Newman and I'm an entrepreneur from the Lehigh Valley.
Still to this day, we think that it's this new, newfound thing that everyone is like coming up with new forms of advertising when really it's probably been done before.
Creativity. Creativity is the cornerstone to our everyday grind. We live by it and we die by it.
It's everywhere and we can't avoid it.
And within advertising lies creativity.
The creative minds control advertising. They manipulate their viewers or their audience with this database marketing
where they're just picking apart each demographic with things that would attract different age groups and different, you know,
different ethnicity or different racial backgrounds and different stuff like that.
Advertising is responsible for the current state of the economy and where we're at right now within the world.
I believe advertising is also responsible for this awareness and this information that's surrounding us.
It kind of just lets us know what's going on.
Viral marketing is another skill set that the advertisement agencies and advertising market in general has used and has become very efficient with.
And they, with, you know, viral marketing, it's this whole idea of reaching their audience or reaching others through use of the internet.
Within my business, I use advertising to promote, generally, to many different audiences and it kind of covers a lot of, covers a lot of ground.
Whether it be photography, media work, video, audio, even up-to-concert productions like that,
I put on concerts and everything throughout the Valley. I've been doing this for approximately, it'll be three years come January.
In regards to promotions and concerts and stuff like that, there's a whole slew of things that you have to go through to properly promote and advertise for things.
You've got to put some time and effort into it and it's not something that necessarily comes easy. Not everyone's cut out for it.
And yeah, basically for starters, you're going to look at, let's just say for concerts in particular, you've got to look at what kind of audience you want to reach
and what is popular on the market right now and what bands are the popular ones that a lot of kids are going to come out and see and actually pay to see.
Since day one, like the first show I ever did, I've been advertising in 500 copies on an 8x11 paper on bright yellow, bright orange, bright green,
and stapled them to every single telephone pole.
Overall, I would say advertising has had this great effect within my own personal business and it's helped me personally grow,
as well as helped my business grow drastically over the past three years.
And if I told you where I started at three years ago and you see where everything's been going now, it's kind of, it's like a, it's a whole other world.
Thank you.
