People ask me all the time, is racing fun? Yeah, racing is a blast. But for me personally,
it's about the challenge. It's a challenge for me as a driver and a challenge to compete
against some of the best drivers in the world and that's what we look for. That's what
I thrive off of is the challenge of the competition.
So close we've found each other's wings.
All right, so we're here this weekend at Button Willow, which is the second round
of the WERC that NASA puts on the Western Endurance Racing Championship.
It consists of four rounds and then followed by the 25. This weekend we're running the Button
Willow track. We're running counterclockwise, which is a little unique for this circuit.
It's not known for that. So a lot of competition out here. We see a lot of the same cars that
we're going to see at the 25. So it's nice to get the car out onto the track early with some of
this competition and see where we're at, see how we can make the car better.
All right.
So we just finished
up here at the Button Willow three hour. I just got out of the car after two hours straight.
The heat was unbearable today. Very, very exhausting. But I got to hand it to our partners and our crew.
The car for the most part was flawless. It stayed very consistent through the stint.
Very quick. We still have a lot of room to grow with it, which is a which is a fantastic thing.
We're still learning about the car a lot, especially after all the changes we made from
last year. But overall, very, very happy with the day. And I got to just hand it to my guys for
hanging in there and being here. It was extraordinarily hot today and we're ready for
some cooler weather and ready to get on to Miller for a six hour.
