Thank you, sir.
Credo High School is a public charter school in Roanard Park, founded in 2011 to complete
the K-8 education of North Bay Public Waldorf students by offering an exemplary, holistic,
college preparatory high school experience that is inspired by Waldorf education and
committed to teaching and modeling, agricultural, environmental, economic, social, and personal
sustainability.
Now in year two, Credo has 80 students and will continue growing until it reaches a full
enrollment of 640.
All Credo students study music for four years and choose from one of five programs, Orchestra,
World Percussion, Choir, Musical Theater, and American Music.
Tonight, Credo's American Music Ensemble performs under the direction of Eddie Gutham.
Music is a gauge, a barometer for what a community is feeling.
The 1960s and 70s were a tumultuous time in America and there were many public demonstrations
to end the Vietnam War.
Music played an important role in this movement and tonight, Credo's American Music Ensemble
brings you one of the most important songs from that era, Marvin Gaye's What's Going
On, please welcome Credo High School.
Thank you.
