After much anticipation, Rita Ora is back. The hottest artist in the UK has been on a
one-track path for world domination, taking over both the fashion world and our TV sets
at the same time. But now she's returning to do exactly what she does best, with the
release of her brand new single, Your Song. And if her long-awaited new album includes
anything like her previous hits, Black Widow, doing it, and the incredible smash I will
never let you down, then us Rita Bots are in for a real treat. So we sat down with the
lady herself to find out everything about her new music and her plans for the future.
This is MTV Asks, Rita Ora.
I love them boys so much, I've seen so much of their live shows and I just thought this
is so me, because I remember when I did Hot Right Now and that drum and bass drop, that
proper English drop that you hear that you never get bored of and I said I really want
to bring back that drop because I did it for Hot Right Now. I did it for Coming Home
with Sigma. And now I wanted to do it with Rudimental and I thought their first little
shows are always so fun that I just in my head was thinking I'd love to go and like
pop out with them one day and just like be a part of it.
The next one comes from Ellie Nicole in Tasmania who asks, what has been your favourite red
carpet look? You've got a lot to choose from. You know my favourite red carpet look, I think
it might be the 2014 VMAs in the red dress when I performed Black Widow with Iggy. I
think it was like a silk red like kind of just slippy looking thing with the slit of
the side. So I think that's my favourite. I remember seeing you there actually. It was
simple but sexy.
And then we've got one from Amsterdam from Abbey who asks, what's the last celebrity
that you sent a text to? Oh my gosh. I think it was, yeah. I think it actually genuinely
let me check. I'm always a very like... What is this sassy thing? Oh this is like a chain
that you put around your neck so like you go like this. Ah so you've just got your phone
on here? You know when you want your hands to be free. That's it. So hold on, hang on.
Put the zip down and then I don't want to mess up the mic but it goes over your head.
Okay so wait let me check what the last one was. No it's actually to Shor Mendes, not
going to lie. Okay. And it said, he said you sounded amazing at my gig and I said thank
you so much. And then that was literally it. And then he said, add me on Snapchat. Yay!
Did he actually? Add me on Snapchat.
Okay, Luke from Melbourne asks, who is the best live performer that you've ever seen?
The best live performer I've ever seen. Oh wow. I've seen some amazing shows. I mean
Ed Sheeran's one definitely because it's just so authentic and like amazing. Adele was amazing
at Glastonbury. The Coldplay shows are always so fun. When I supported them on tour like
I was so lucky to kind of watch the show every night. And then like the more intimate gigs
Prince was amazing. Yeah Prince was surreal. It was like 200 people. Like he was like in
your face. Fantastic. And Spice Girls. That was my first show. My first show as well.
I think it was a Wembley maybe. Mine was a Wembley too. I think we were the same age as well.
That was probably the same one. That was so funny.
