Hi this is Warren Eagles with another Resolve Tip. This time I'm going to show you how to
track a window off the screen because quite often it follows the character, our color
in our window, but it doesn't actually leave the frame so we still see it. So I'm going
to start by making up here nodes, click on there, node plus a circular power window will
give me my shape. We always need a shape before we do a track. So I'm going to do that, replace
that over her face a little bit more just so we're going to track most of the features
here not the trees behind and I'm going to just add a color there so it's easier for
us to see what we're tracking. Let's go to our tracking guy which is viewer here and
if you do not see these controls here it would just be this tab here bottom left like that.
Then up at the top right here I'm going to track forward and we can see it's done a very
good job of getting her off the screen there but the problem being is that I still see
that red pink bright up where she's left the screen. So what I need to do to get rid of
that and get that shape away is to go to keyframe mode here and then I will inch the machine
till the last frame is good there, that is good, that's not. Go to the frame where you
want to start to manually move the window and hit mark you will see a very small yellow
marker keyframe at the bottom here then inch the film or your timeline to there now that
is when she's gone so add another mark and now I've got two tiny yellow marks there move
the window off and use the between maybe easy if you put this show track on and then you
can actually see what you've done here's your two keyframes there if I go back you can see
it's now done a linear move between those two points and the window has gone. Ah there
is so let's jump back in again and what I can do if I go to there is go back to where
it's good there again go mark move the playhead to the end go mark again I've got two marks
and I only ever see two marks though there are obviously more keyframes in this move
that to there then look at what happens to our white line here when I go between just
as a little linear move there so now when I go back you can see that the window is safely
off the screen and she's tracked nicely to come off. If you'd like that tip on tracking
and you'd like to know more I will be producing some more of these films along with the guys
who shot this film we're working on here moving down this was shot by FXPHD I'm going to make
some online result films with them soon otherwise keep looking at the iColorist website and
obviously the Vimeo page for more information thanks for listening bye bye.
