Let's take a quick look at some of the latest news.
South Korea threatens to shoot Chinese fishing boats.
The Kremlin's chief propagandist warns the U.S. of nuclear consequences, and a Christian
commentator says the zombie apocalypse is more likely than the actual apocalypse.
This is Skywatch TV for Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
I'm Derek Gilbert.
First up, the latest WikiLeaks release of email from the Hillary Clinton campaign reveals
something I don't think any of us thought we would see, confirmation of Tom Horn's
research into the Vatican's fascination with the possibility of extraterrestrial life,
Hillary, the Vatican, and E.T.
Now the emails are actually from the account of John Podesta, who is the chairman of Hillary's
campaign, and it includes a couple of emails from the late Edgar Mitchell.
Dr. Mitchell was an Apollo 14 astronaut co-founder of the Institute for Noetic Sciences.
One of the emails from last January says, quote, Dear John Podesta, it is urgent that
we agree on a date and time to discuss disclosure and zero point energy at your earliest available
after your departure, meaning departure from the Obama administration to work on Hillary's
campaign.
My Catholic colleague, Terry Mansfield, will be there too to bring us up to date on the
Vatican's awareness of E.T.I., extra-terrestrial intelligence.
Then in August, Mitchell sent a second email, remember, our nonviolent E.T.I. from the contiguous
universe are helping to bring zero point energy to Earth, and they will not tolerate any forms
of military violence on Earth or in space.
Well, Mitchell never got his meeting with John Podesta.
Dr. Mitchell passed away in February.
What did he know, or what did he think the Vatican knew?
We honestly don't know.
Remember, just because it was in Mitchell's email doesn't confirm that what he was writing
about actually exists, doesn't mean the Vatican actually knows something.
It just means that Dr. Mitchell thought that the Vatican thought it knew something.
Whatever that was or is, Dr. Mitchell surely knows the truth now.
Meanwhile, things keep getting stranger with so-called Tabby's Star.
That's KIC 846-2852, the star that keeps changing brightness.
Astronomers don't know why.
The star has changed brightness several times recently, at one point by 22 percent.
Too much for an orbiting planet to block the light from the star.
One theory is that a giant piece of alien technology is surrounding the star, perhaps
a Dyson sphere, something to catch the energy from the star in order to power a super-advanced
civilization.
Yes, serious scientists are proposing this.
Now, there are skeptics who say, well, maybe not so much.
There's a lot that we don't know about what's in between here and that particular star.
The other explanation for the differences is that different pieces of equipment have
been used to measure the light from the star previously.
Now, new observations confirm that the star is in fact fluctuating in brightness, not
by as much as 22 percent, by about one or two percent.
But again, the fluctuations are yet unexplained.
Again, just remember, we don't know everything about what's in between Earth and that star,
but observations are ongoing.
Back here on Earth, tensions continue to rise.
The nonviolent ETI are not pleased.
A Russian newscaster called the Kremlin's chief propagandist is warning the U.S. that impudent
behavior could have nuclear implications.
Dmitry Kiselev was appointed by Vladimir Putin to head up Russia's government-owned
news agency.
He made that threat Monday night on his regular program called News of the Week.
Now, it's not a stretch to say that relations between Russia and the United States are at
a low point.
They have deteriorated rapidly during the Obama administration, especially over the last
couple of years, and especially as things in Syria fall apart.
Didn't help things Sunday night during the debate when Hillary Clinton called for a no-fly
zone over Syria.
But she's not the only one.
There are many neocons on both sides of the political aisle, Republican and Democrat, who
are calling for the same thing.
Saying that calling for a no-fly zone over Syria would essentially mean having to shoot
down Russian planes.
The U.S. military isn't just sitting back and letting these threats go without some
form of preparation, and I suppose that's a good thing.
A pair of B-2 Spirit bombers dropped a pair of 700-pound dummy nukes into the Nevada desert
earlier this month.
The test bombs were test versions of the B-61, which is a nuclear bomb that's been in the
U.S. arsenal for about half a century.
One was an earth penetrator for underground targets, and again, it's not a coincidence
that these tests of these weapons are taking place right now.
The Pentagon also hinting that the Houthi rebels, the rebels backed by Iran in Yemen,
might regret taking a shot at a Navy destroyer earlier this month.
The USS Mason recently had a couple rockets splash into the Red Sea, coming from Houthi
controlled territory in Yemen, no injuries, no damage.
South Korea's Coast Guard says it's going to start shooting at Chinese boats caught
fishing illegally in Korean waters.
I told you the other day about a South Korean boat, Coast Guard vessel that sank last week
after it was rammed by a Chinese fishing boat.
Last month, three Chinese fishermen died when South Korean Coast Guard officers tossed
flash grenades onto their boat.
It set the cabin on fire.
In the announcement, Tuesday, South Korean officials announced that they have authorized
the use of handguns and onboard cannon to attack Chinese vessels.
Well, the earth, as we know it, is broke.
The International Monetary Fund announced last week that the total amount of debt around
the world is $152 trillion, this reported by Michael Snyder.
And like the Missouri River in springtime, it's not just high, but it's rising.
The IMF says debt for the 113 nations attracts now at 225% of the global gross domestic product.
America's official debt, about $19.7 trillion right now.
But I'll say again, when you hear that official debt number, remember, that's calculated
using accounting methods that would land you and me in jail.
According to the former Comptroller General of the United States, David Walker, the actual
number is closer to this one here.
That's $70 trillion.
That's $70 trillion with a T dollars is the actual debt of the United States, which makes
you how far off the global debt number really is.
The family of a woman who died in a hotel room in Germany last year, facing charges now
of beating her to death during an exorcism trial began this week in Germany.
The five family members originally from South Korea faced charges of joint murder.
Prosecutors say the five used an incredible amount of violence on the victim's head and
neck to cast out devils.
She died from suffocating.
Look, if you're using physical violence during a deliverance, you're not doing it right.
I'm no expert, but I do know that Jesus never had to physically assault anyone to cast out
a demon and doing it in his name, doing it in his name works likewise.
Last week, former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Perez was laid to rest at the age of 93.
And at least one rabbi in Israel says this is a sign that the Messianic era of David
is about to begin.
I've said before in this program, the Jews, not all, but those who believe in a literal
return of the Messiah, literal arrival of the Messiah, because they don't believe he's
come yet, believe in two Messiahs, Messiah Ben-Joseph, who will lead them to victory
over Gog and Magog.
He will die during that struggle.
And then Messiah Ben-David arrives, completes the destruction of Gog and Magog, resurrects
the dead, including Messiah Ben-Joseph, and then judges the nations.
Well, this rabbi takes that as an allegory that it's symbolic and doesn't represent these
two Messiahs are symbolic of eras and don't represent specific people.
Perez was the last of the leaders who founded the modern state of Israel.
And with his passing, Rabbi Shimon Episodorff says that signifies the transition from the
era of Messiah Ben-Joseph to the era of Messiah Ben-David, the Messianic era where Israel
will be elevated to preeminence among the nations of the earth.
Now, again, I bring this to you not because it's something that we Skywatch TV believe,
far from it.
Bring this to you for insight as to what is being taught and believed by some of our Jewish
brothers and sisters.
The one consistent theme among their expectation of the Messiah is that they're looking for
a political and military leader just as they were during the first century, which is why
they miss Jesus.
And sadly, it is why many of them will welcome the wrong man as Messiah.
But there are evangelical Christians who aren't looking for any Messiah, at least not during
an apocalyptic period.
It's easy for us to forget, associating with the people that we do, our friends at Prophecy
Watchers and other people with prophetic ministries, that the majority of the world's Christians
are a millennial.
They don't believe in a premillennial return of Jesus Christ.
In other words, the literal return of Jesus to earth before a thousand-year reign after
which Satan is loosed for a little while, a final battle, and then the final judgment
where Satan, sin, and death are cast into the lake of fire along with their angels.
Most of the world's Christians are a millennial.
They believe that the world would just get better and better until Jesus finally returns
and everything will be wonderful from then on.
Just in point, a Christian publication from the UK called Christian Today, which describes
itself as evangelical, contributing editor for Christian Today, published this earlier
this week.
The beginning of the piece opens with a description of a recent survey that was conducted at
Ugov.org or Ugov.com where people were asked how they thought the world was going to end.
Most people said nuclear war or climate change, and it basically ran through all of the responses
down to 2% said zombie outbreak, 8% said the apocalypse.
The author of the piece said that no, actually the apocalypse, as described in the book of
Revelation, is less likely than a zombie outbreak.
Now, again, I know that a millennial is the majority view among the world's Christians,
but mocking one's fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, as we find ourselves doing all
too often, especially as easy it is to do over the internet when you can type and hit
enter and psychologically perhaps think that you're anonymous or that it's not a real person
on the other side of the screen, but mocking one another over what is not one of the central
points of Christian doctrine serves only the enemy's purpose.
And I would add this, when we start allegorizing away things that are written in literal terms,
like the prophecies of the Messiah's return prior to a thousand year reign, when we start
allegorizing that away, we open the door to allegorizing an awful lot of things in the
Bible that make us uncomfortable.
Without the red pen, start drawing lines through verses you don't like.
We're not all going to agree on the exact timing of what's coming, but at least back
up what you believe with a sound exegesis of the Scripture.
And again, let's be a little more gracious to one another when we differ over these non-essentials.

I agree.
Tom Horn says it's one of the best documentaries he has seen in any genre.
And I would agree.
There are some literally jaw-dropping moments in here related to the Vatican and E.T.

The new issue in November, be out in just a few weeks.

This week on SkywatchTV, a real heartwarming interview with John Schlitt, lead singer of
Petra, which was one of the really influential Christian rock bands, really broke a lot of
ground during a period of time back in the 80s and 90s, where Christian rock was an oxymoron.
