I
You're right. I'm a English guy living in LA who's got a passion for Porsche. I do like old things. I like old guitars
I like old watchers old buildings. Maybe I'm an old soul at heart
You know, I prefer vintage to modern I sort of got into the clothing business through vintage clothing old Levi's old Western shirts
So maybe I'm a nostalgic at harden. I definitely like vintage
The Porsche pretty much did everything good. And so gradually over the past 12 years
I got rid of every car that was not a Porsche everything else sort of paled into
Insignificance compared to the early 9-11. We weren't necessarily the quickest cars
I don't there was certainly the most rewarding and the most stimulating and the most fun cars to drive
You know, you don't see a lot of low mileage Porsches out there see a lot of low mileage Ferraris
But Porsches tend to get driven a lot more than any other exotic make-up car that I've come across
Porsches have 50 years of
Fine tuning and evolving the 9-11 so naturally is technology advances
The 991 of today is not the same car as the 64 9-11
But the DNA is still there you get behind the wheel of one and you know, visually look the same
I mean the engines in the same place
So the car still have the character of the early cars. The shape is unmistakable 9-11. That's a great thing about Porsche
Car guys have their own language I often tell people though Porsche is a language
Doesn't matter whether you speak English German or Japanese the common bond is the car
The car is the language that connects all Porsche enthusiasts together
From my point of view building cars is pretty similar to building clothing and is pretty similar to restoring buildings
Both of which we've done both of them take a lot of time energy passion vision
Naturally, there's some changes that get made along the way. Hopefully there's no compromises that get made along the way
I think what separates me from other people building similar inspired cars of that late 60s early 70s era is
I'm not such a purist that I just build a replica of what the factory did
I don't know if I am so different to other enthusiasts. I'm just doing my thing other enthusiasts do their thing. Maybe I'm a little more passionate
Maybe I'm trying things a little bit differently. I'm certainly not I'm looking to emulate what someone else has done
I'm trying things a little bit differently. I'm certainly not I'm looking to emulate what someone else has done
I'm certainly not I'm looking to emulate what someone else has done. I'm sort of really following my own vision and
Bending my own rules. So that's sort of always been my philosophy
is do what makes me happy and I don't really worry about what other people do
You
