On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, as the northern lights hover in
the star-filled sky, all is not quite what it seems in the remote mythical town of almost
Maine.
Almost residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious
ways.
The bruises heal and the hearts mend, almost, in this delightful midwinter's night stream.
The play, Almost Maine, opens Thursday, November 16th.
Curtain is at 7 p.m. for three evenings, plus there's a two o'clock matinee on Saturday.

Shop rooms filled with attic treasures, a consignment shop, fresh baked goods, homemade candy, apple
butter, and frozen casseroles made by the women of Pohic Church.
Booths will feature the work of artisans showcasing handmade jewelry, stained glass, Christmas
decorations, and many crafts.
Colonial-attired ladies will serve luncheon at three sittings, 11 a.m., 12 noon, and 1 p.m.
The cost is $13.
The dosing guild will lead tours of the historic Colonial Church.

This month, the Mount Vernon Genealogy Society meeting program is titled Alexander Hamilton
and George Washington, the Musical vs. the Reality.
That's Tuesday, November 21st, from 1 to 3 p.m., presented by Professor Peter Henriquez.
Dr. Henriquez believes the collaboration between Alexander Hamilton and George Washington was
of utmost importance in the founding of our nation.
The talk will take place in Room 112 of the Holland Hall Senior Center at 1500 Shenandoah
Road in the Mount Vernon area.
