As you know, I love being close to the water and I like animals too.
This was taped many months ago, but I thought it was a good backdrop to share some information
with you, the subscribers of the Microdack channel.
Let me know how well this was received by you and do let me know if it was a good idea
or a bad idea.
Let me say that I feel blessed, really, for having so many friends here online.
The feedback that I get are all encouraging and let me say now I welcome each and every
one of these messages.
I do have one request though.
When you send me an email having to do with a specific video, I wish you would place your
message in the comment section of that specific video.
Thanks.
Okay, so, what's happening?
I just bought an old FD lens from my Canon.
It's a 35-7mm lens and I'll be using it as soon as I get an adapter for my Canon.
As you know, I have been experimenting with old-fashioned lenses for quite some time now.
You'll see the results.
On another subject, I've been using a lot of Lesley's music in my videos because, one,
he's given me permission to do so if I give him credit, two, I love his music, three,
I would love to use other people's music if they would send it to me and it has to be
an original and, along with the music, send me written permission to use your music.
I am looking for background music, ambient type stuff.
I also need information on how people may get in touch with the creators, so if you
write some music, send it to me, let me know your phone number or your email address.
Moving on, as you know, I also love using the music of WGC2, Screamin' Lehmann and
Vansilla.
I don't have a written permission, so I cannot always use their music, but she is fabulous.
I also get a lot of requests for more cooking videos and I will be making a lot more.
Venice Kitchen has become a hit and we, Vanny and Al, will be making more cooking videos
with the Caribbean flavor, of course.
Remember, if you have a special request for a specific dish that you like us to do on
videotape or to make a video about that dish, don't forget to let us know about it.
We'll do everything our power to fulfill your request.
Okay, about future plans.
Well, as you know, I do travel a bit and I want to do an internet series, tentatively
called 100 Days, 100 Tales.
I want to travel the United States for an entire year shooting story ideas that I get
from you, the subscribers of the Thoughts of Microdack, but I need sponsors.
I simply cannot afford it.
I would love it if Ford, Gerald Motors, Panasonic, Cannon or Sony would be a sponsor.
These are some of the brands that I use all the time.
And how much am I looking for?
Say, around 60,000 for the year for food and RV lodging.
I'm not doing this to get rich, but to convey the good stories and the good people that
I meet.
I'll let Charles Geralt.
Do you know anyone who would sponsor me and my journeys or perhaps you could write a letter
for me if you're very good at writing letters?
If you do, tell them that I'm very interested.
Really, tell them I'm very interested.
Lots more to share with you, but this is getting a bit long.
Drop me a line and share your ideas.
My personal email address, just for you, is Dave at Microdack.com.
Thank you.
And then back to these animals, aren't they beautiful?
Did you notice how very subtle they are in their movements and how very, very nimble
they can be, especially the elephants?
They are very nimble.
I love these animals, I really, really do.
