Imogen floats like a ghost through a deep blue planet.
She moves, she feeds, just enough to sustain life, but she aches too.
The dull weight of loneliness hangs heavy on her fragile body.
Where is my love?
She sings.
I'm just going to keep going the whole time, and then leave the long-awaited days.
Hi.
How you doing?
Good.
How are you?
Good.
You ready to shoot?
Yes.
So you're ready to roll?
Yeah.
So where are you coming from?
Oh, the aquarium.
Of course.
Are you searching your film?
No, shooting.
The aquarium is really the best I can do until I get certified.
It's right up this way.
Rolling.
I've always loved the ocean.
I've thought about being a marine biologist, but I'm very creative.
Thank you.
So the film you're making is a documentary?
Uh, not a documentary.
No.
It's a fictional story, using my footage which I've shot of the seahorses.
So what's the story that you're trying to tell?
I'm not sure yet, entirely.
Well, isn't it about love?
Love.
Yes.
Love.
Unrequited.
Devastating.
Well, how do you plan on telling a story about love with animals or creatures that you
can't communicate with?
The point is not to communicate, but to observe.
Seahorses are very romantic.
They're monogamous.
People can't even get that right.
So right now, these make up parts of my film that I have to shoot still.
Once I get certified for the deep sea diving, I can replace them with footage of the seahorses
in their natural environments.
My mom, my dad, my older sister, and my younger sister.
And where are you?
I'm taking the photo.
That was amazing.
She's incredible.
She's incredible, man.
The little puppets and her trophies.
Dude, this movie is going to be so fucking good.
Probably not as good as the one she's making.
I'll tell you, that's going to be something else, man.
She's such a character.
There's something so genuine about her, you know?
Like, we couldn't even make something that pure if we tried.
It's magical.
It's beautiful, but yeah, it's magical.
That's what it is.
It's fucking magical.
When the last leaf of arms had fallen in the ground, and the ice wouldn't fit in.
Where are you traveling?
I don't know.
What is your date of departure?
What's your return date?
What's your date of departure?
What's your date of departure?
What's your date of departure?
What's your date of departure?
What's your date of departure?
What's your date of departure?
Most days, I come in film here.
I aim to create a textured cast of characters in my film.
A filmmaker must always be pragmatic and resourceful.
Oh, no.
No.
No.
Shelly.
Jesus.
What is this?
Look, see, it's okay.
Uh, Mitch is making a film about me making my film.
Isn't that wild?
You seem like a nice girl, you see.
You know?
You come in here.
I'm a reasonable guy.
And you take pictures, and I don't say anything.
But this, this is, this is too much.
You got people coming in here, making movies,
taking pictures, not buying anything, not paying for anything.
Shelly.
This is my stool.
This is art.
I'm gonna have to ask you to leave.
Go.
Go!
Go!
Break?
What's the lady say horse's name?
It's Imogen.
Is that Shakespeare?
I always felt sorry for Imogen.
She was in town.
I always felt sorry for Imogen.
She wasn't that well written.
I don't think I'm gonna finish it.
Why not?
Because it's ridiculous.
What do you like about them?
Sea horses are very romantic.
They're monogamous.
Are they?
Probably not.
They're very weak swimmers.
Often they'll grab onto a piece of coral with their tails
and stay in one place.
I think that they're afraid that if they let go,
they'll get carried away by the sea.
The thing is, they're just fish.
They look special, but they're not.
Maybe.
Can you ever get tired of row-abiding all the time?
Please love me forever.
Don't forget me ever.
Just listen to my plea.
Please don't stop loving me.
You're in my dreams nightly.
Don't take my love lightly.
Begging on bended knees.
Please don't stop loving me.
Well, I have finally saved up enough to begin my certification as a deep sea diver.
It's only a matter of time now before I have all the necessary tools to complete my film.
So how long have you been doing this for?
Well, I've been planning this for a long time.
Working to save up money and get my budgets together.
It's been a process.
I understand.
It's coming along quickly now, and I've almost got enough to get my certification,
which will really speed up the process.
Is that so far?
Yes. I've read a lot of books, and I've watched a lot of films.
I'm a big fan of watching and not replicating,
but being inspired by past filmmakers and photographers.
Loving me.
Loving me.
Loving me.
Loving me.
Loving me.
What the fuck?
Shelly, what the fuck?
Imaging floats like a ghost through a deep blue planet, she moves, she feeds, just enough

body, where is my love, she sings, where is my love?
Witnessing the male on the threshold of wonder, one must stop to consider his grasp on the
world.
What sense can he make of his own significance, and of this glimpse of truth revealing itself
momentarily to him?
We know only that in time he will begin to see it from a great distance, until it is
a silhouette of meaning on the horizon, if it is anything at all.
What sense can he make of his own significance, and of this glimpse of truth revealing itself
momentarily to him?
