The Kindergarten was licensed in 1993. That's when it first opened its doors. The curriculum
it rests on this natural cycle for you. Over the summer we'll be harvesting vegetables
or grinding up wheat into flour so we can make our bread or making plum jam and then
we end up with having a harvest festival. Harvest fair is our big fundraiser of the year but
it's also just a wonderful day for the children. It's an old-fashioned fair with games and music
and food and pony rides and it's a wonderful day. Lots of people come to it. People who've been in
the Kindergarten years ago and turn up and grown up and bring their little children with them.
We first started it. It was a two-day event with sheering and a magician with a magic show and
it slowly evolved over the years and now it has become a harvest fair. So it revolves around the theme
of the harvest and the joy and delight of that time and of feeling thankful and then of celebrating it.
You may have heard this song before.
We are a licensed kindergarten. We usually have a couple of open days that people can come and have a look around
and talk to teachers but we're always open. If anybody would like to come and see they can just phone up
or drop by and we can make time for them.
Thank you.
