Post Light is at Knolls Produce this week.
Welcome, I'm Valerie Knolls.
Come on and see me at Knolls Produce, where we are receiving our first shipment of pansies.
Spring is right around the corner, folks.
We're here 10 to 6 daily, 10 to 7 on Fridays, and happy to help you.
Observe George Washington's birthday with a special service and breakfast on Monday,
February 20th at Poehic Church.
The service will start at 8 a.m. and will follow the order from Morning Prayer, taken
from the 1662 English Book of Common Prayer, which is the service Washington followed in
his usual Sunday worship at Poehic Church.
The docent guild will be conducting tours of historic Poehic Church following the breakfast.
Tickets are $10 per person, $25 per family group, with children under 12 free.
Call Fred Crawford at 703-994-5236 or browse poehic.org.
Then there's This Forgotten Land, about the Civil War and site south of Alexandria, presented
by Donald Hackinson at the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society meeting.
That's Tuesday the 21st.
The talk will take place in Room 112 of the Holland Hall Senior Center at 1500 Shenandoah
Road in the Mount Vernon area.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
And side personal note, Mr. Hackinson does a fantastic job at presenting this material.
You'll love it.
Use mvgenealogy.org or call 703-768-4101.
See the female version of the odd couple at Hayfield High School opening on February 23rd.
I can't imagine a female Oscar.
That'll be good.
They are doing these productions to help fundraise for their trip and performance at
the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland this summer.
Own them at 703-924-7400.
Also there's the Poehic Church Pancake Supper on the 28th from 5-7pm in the Parish Hall.
This traditional pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday was started in medieval England as
a way to use up all the butter eggs and fat prior to Ash Wednesday.
The cost is $8 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for children under 6.

It's time again already to get your stories and calendar events in for the March print
issue of Lorton Valley Star.
That's the news from PostLight.
Tune in next week.
Good bye.
