Cheers!
We're heading 30 kilometers due south off the very southern tip of Tasmania towards
the south pole to an area that's got a mythical wave around this rock called Pedra Branca.
All I know is a rock that sticks up out of the water 35 feet.
There's a bunch of really accomplished towing surfers down in Tasmania, the home across
brothers Tyler and James and then you've got Marty Paradisis, I guess they're pioneers
of their own area.
Well we've pretty much known about Pedra for probably the last couple of years now.
I've got a mate who's a fisherman and he sort of gave us word about it and said yeah there's
a pretty crazy wave out there and it's in our best interest really to go check it out.
Off the bottom of Tasmania you've got a motor out for another 20 or 30km into the ocean
where there's nothing out there except for big swells and seals and sharks.
They found this amazing right hander that's just peeling off Edison Rock, this shelf.
They've sort of been talking about it for maybe two years.
At 6am in the morning I remember being on deck and watching this spike kind of bouncing
around in this red light from the horizon.
What is that to the captain and he goes oh that's Edison Rock.
There it was this massive monolith, I swear I was looking at a block of flat just in the
middle of the ocean.
When we got there and actually saw the wave we were like this wave is amazing.
I had to kind of reiterate to these guys you will not see this combination of conditions
occur for a very long time.
If you want to surf this wave now this is the swell, don't pass up this opportunity.
We got the skis off and froth levels were really high and it had been my dream since
I heard about these waves to be the first one to surf.
Everyone else decided to actually take the skis over to have a look at the wave first
and I was like well I'm out there no matter what we're surfing here we're not going anywhere
else so I just got my board off and got my mate to jump on the ski and just got straight
out there.
The first wave was something I'll always remember out there.
It was one of the biggest things that's happened in my life and one of the most memorable occasions
I'll remember that forever.
It was one of the biggest things that happened in my life and one of the biggest things that
happened in my life and one of the biggest things that happened in my life and one of
the biggest things that happened in my life and one of the biggest things that happened
And now weeding out the bodies, like the flowers that we saved
Yes, they're making less, yes, they're making less
Sunguards and populists in broad lines, roxillias
As that's a hunt, a spin on all the woman's eyes
Correlation, counter-strip, we're strip search, then desperate it's time
To breed the Wally
Yes, they're making less of people interested in this
And there's briskers in the temple of a rebel catalyst
Yes, they're making less of people interested in this
Yet the public like to laugh at fools take it serious
Early in the morning as the garden starts to grow
Every single morning is the seed we need to sow
Early in the morning as the garden starts to grow
Every single morning is the seed we need to sow
Just stop making less, are you interested?
Yes they're making less of people with humanitarian sport
Yes they're making less of people with humanitarian sorts
Yes they're making less, are you interested?
Yes they're making less, but maybe they're veterans
Are you interested?
Yes, they're marvelous.
But maybe they're the terrorists.
Yes, they're making lists.
Are you interested?
Yes, they're making lists.
But maybe they're the terrorists.
Yes, they're making lists.
Are you interested?
Wow.
What?
Woo!
Two hands.
Two hands.
Oh, come on.
Oh, wow.
That wave I got slapped on,
it felt like I hit the head with a cricket bat.
It felt like my whole skin got rearranged.
Now, it started bleeding
and I feel a bit
Cross-eyed right now.
There's no other way, no other way, but I'm only trying to make it better.
There's no other way, no other way to go.
There's no other way, no other way, but I'm only trying to make it better.
There's no other way, no other way, but I'm only trying to make it better.
Of course she's wondering why only three years old that has gone again, don't know when we'll all be back home together.
Life gets harder when life can't look, it's pouring inside.
And for no time, but at the end of it's head of my heart.
It's all between the two that keep dividing me.
Please, please feel me like I'm trying.
It's always time to make it better.
There's no other way, no other way to go.
And I'm only trying to make it better.
There's no other way.
It's just like the most biggest, perfect setup I've come across.
And to be the first people to ever get out there was just an experience in itself.
And to be the first people to ever get out there was just an experience in itself.
Space between us and each would be another life.
