Jinshin Jutsu is a Japanese healing art that works with the energetic body through light touch.
So what we're doing when we place our hands on these different areas, which are called safety energy blocks,
they're like the body circuit breaker.
So when those become overloaded, it's the body saying like, hey, something's going on, listen.
I was introduced to the practice about five years ago by my aunt who's getting certified
and she needed bodies to work on and so she worked on me and it was this transformative experience.
My shoulders had always been like crooked and my back continually having pain
and after she worked on me once, all of that disappeared for me and I was amazed.
So I wanted to learn more and she bought me books and I would read on how to work on the body,
what it represented and then as I got more comfortable, I started working on my friends.
I've been receiving Jinshin for the last five years and I would say getting really serious about my practice
for the last two or three years and I recently completed the year-long certification in October
and that was really wonderful to deepen my knowledge and practice of Jinshin Jutsu.
So what excites me the most is really teaching people.
So many people go through their life not really understanding their body or even if they feel in tune,
I feel that there's this disconnect between knowing about the different areas of your body
but not really understanding the language of it and when we learn the language,
whether it's like if you're a native English speaker, you learn Spanish,
something gets ignited and your awareness starts to grow.
I just feel anytime I can share these tools, whoever is receptive to it,
will have it for the rest of their life and that is so powerful.
I don't feel many other things that have come into my life have that power and ability.
I really love to teach and I want anyone who comes into my world or vice versa,
if I come into theirs that they walk away knowing a little bit more about themselves.
People can use it in whatever capacity makes sense for them and Jinshin Jutsu just made sense for me.
I hope it makes sense for others.
