It's really a process that is so complex.

If you're a drug smuggler and you have that logistical network, why not go into the people
smuggling trade?

Well, the profit margins are just as high.
The penalties of your cop are much, much lower.
The other thing is your merchandise can walk.
There's a huge amount of exploitation and the journeys that people undertake are dangerous
journeys.
People die on route.
And when they arrive here, they can often be held at gunpoint until they pay off the
balance of their fees.
This is close to a billion dollar business.
There are so many people making money from this every year.
There are people who you could go and see and you could pay them to get you from point A.
To point B, if you didn't have a passport, you didn't have a visa, that wasn't a problem.
It will go to one of these job centers in Chinatown.
They ask for a job and the job center says, okay, give me however much money, it's about
$50 now, and they give them a street address and they go and they get on a bus and they
go across the country.
We have to walk into a tan and we close the restaurant and we take a shower, we came down
and then we put something to eat.
Just work, sleep, eat, work, sleep, eat.
I could work 24 hours a day and that won't change.
