Yep, right in the end.
After leaving the gorge, the trail is really hard.
But fortunately, it's not going to be our acquaintance with the soil that will stay
with us from this day.
It is a foggy morning in the Albu la Valley.
It seems as if the valley wants to guard its secrets, but we won't be kept away.
Not by fog, and not by the 1,200 vertical meter climb that separates us from our destination,
the Alp Era.
It's like a reward for our efforts.
The sun breaks through as we get ready for the downhill.
The first section is almost trackless.
There is a marking only now and then.
Once again, we feel as if the valley wants to lead us astray, to stop us from venturing
further.
And then we found the trail into the woods.
It seems as if this trail isn't maintained anymore.
Deep riverbeds have to be crossed.
More than once, the guardrails are gone.
We feel adventurous, following the trail deeper into the gorge.
The gorge is spectacular, and in the middle of it, there is a giant waterfall.
We didn't encounter a single soul all day.
We're wondering, where are all the hikers, and especially the bikers?
Then the trail dives into the forest.
At first, it's surprisingly hard, but it quickly becomes more fun.
Yes, the Albula Valley is reluctant to reveal its secrets, but if you persist, you will
be rewarded with great adventure.
