Also to doith y dynbydd, that is all the memories that I have.
I'm sorry about that but that is it.
Hwyrdyd you used to wait for him?
Nia, hear the gamekeeper stayed.
Mr Christie was in there.
And that's where they used to wait for my dad walking down
from the bar in the road down to Penielands.
Can you remember what the accommodation was like at Penielands?
No! Not really.
Why did your parents get to work from Penelins? Did they have a car?
No, my dad walked to the main road in Ovan Lake, and got the bus there, which took him to Balochmyall Hospital, where he worked.
What did you do at Balochmyall?
He was a porter to start with, then he was a mortuary technician when he retired.
Can you tell me, Mr Macomb, why did your parents decide to move away from Penelins to the main street in Orkinleck?
When housing became available in Orkinleck, they moved to the main street under the private landlord.
Do you have any photographs of this era which you would like to share with us?
Yes, and I've already, there have been photographed.
Can you talk us through the people in the photographs?
The people in the photographs are my mother, and my father, and my little brother.
The other couple, I have no idea who they are, and that's the reason why I went to the seminar to see who filmed, to recognise them, and nobody knew who they were.
They were friends of my mother and father, and the visitors asked when I stayed in the main street, and that is the only recollection I have.
And the photographs, do they show the housing that was there?
They show the housing that we stayed in, it was one Penelins camp, and I believe it was situated near where the gamekeeper's house was.
Have I missed anything, is there anything you'd like to add to your memories of the camp?
No, I have no other memories than that, none whatsoever, I was too small to the member.
So you didn't go to school from the camp?
No, I went to school in 1954 from the main street of Orkinleck.
Thank you very much for your time and your memories of this era, Mr McCorm, and thank you very much.
Thank you.
