to really put in service to solve it and to continue this
in our time of personal life.
These milestone events were all that we followed up with
in the Christmas time of the year,
and I'm sure all of us businessmen will never
be able to succeed in solving the different equations
we're going to do in thousands,
but of course, the primary, primary, part of both,
and part of sure, is to make really good
and successful leads to the same quality
in the land that's not going to be in this world.
The part I'm coming to,
and I'd like to be able to chart you for a minute,
to include their quality in this program.
This program includes five gasoline power levels
that are converted to water and programming quantities,
and we've always performed so well
over the summer of 2020,
and the part that's added to this program
is that the second facet of this project
was to purchase some three of the most
fuel-elected units produced in specific park areas.
I can't tell you, these vehicles replaced
more of the gasoline vehicles,
and it didn't seem to entail my ability to do the part.
In my husband's circumstances,
this project was in the 40th anniversary
of the National Park Service.
Today is a very historical moment
as the Great Smoking Mountains National Park
is the first unit in the National Park System
to have DC charging stations,
and this is very important as we enter
into our second center of service,
and we not only feel it is relevant to be,
remain relevant with the next generation,
but we feel that technology like DC charging stations
is a way that we can have zero emissions
and make sure that we do our job
in making sure that we reduce carbon dioxide
in that atmosphere.
So we're thrilled to be part of such a unique
and effective program that involves
all levels of government and the private sector
all working together toward a common goal.
The Great Smoking Mountains National Park
has become a leader in this effort,
and we are pleased to have partnered with them
to bring their fleet.
Well, air quality is one of the biggest issues
impacting park resources
in Great Smoking Mountains National Park,
and while we've had a lot of improvements
with reductions from coal-burning power plants,
there's still a lot of non-point sources,
which would mostly be people in their cars.
So the more we can do to educate people
about cleaner vehicles and reducing emissions,
like having electric vehicle charging stations in the park,
the better example we're setting for the visitors.
Nissan is very pleased to be a part of this great initiative
to bring electric vehicle charging
to the Great Smoking Mountains National Park.
As the builder of the Nissan Leaf,
the best-selling electric vehicle in automotive history,
built right here in Tennessee,
we believe that electric vehicle charging
is the way of the future,
and bringing it to this area
is going to make it much easier for people
that can come to the park,
enjoy the natural,
outdoors with zero emissions driving.
Hi, I'm Barbara Hatcher.
I'm a civil engineer
here with the Great Smoking Mountains National Park.
I'm here to tell you about our new charging equipment
that we have.
I'll start out with our signet unit,
which is a DC fast charger.
And with this unit on our Chathamow side,
we can charge a Nissan Leaf,
and we can charge a Tesla with an adapter.
And on our CCS combo side,
we can charge a BMW i3
and any future American-made cars.
Well, to me,
the most significant thing about being here today
with the first DC fast chargers
in any national park in the United States
is how it opens up the park to all the visitors
coming in with their electric vehicles.
Instead of spending hours
recharging after crossing the mountains here,
going up to the highest points in the eastern United States,
they can recharge in 20 minutes
and continue their trip
and enjoy in the park.
This model-standing approach
is to make the future of these cars
allow electric vehicles
to meet the rather high heart
and preserve the opportunity
to meet a lot of others.
Thank you to all of the project partners
who helped out the service
and to all of our time peers
as they have put 100 years of our new features
on all of the work
we've done personally and in spite
of all the work we've done.
