I had two passions in my life.
It was my main job as a projectionist.
At the same time, I started the apiculture.
I started the apiculture with my father in 1985.
From then on, I took the Sassuit in the 90s.
At that time, I started to have problems with phytosanitary problems
and the death of bees.
We arrived in 1995-97 to make good harvest,
knowing that we were going back to the 1980s.
Globally, we were able to produce between 5 and 7 tons of honey per day.
In order to keep the colonies in a comfortable state,
compared to all these disease problems,
we were forced to treat bees with products,
mainly in different periods.
Otherwise, if there was no treatment,
whether it was for the left or the right,
the colonies were sent to an important mortality rate.
Despite these products,
every year, there was a higher mortality rate than ever before.
From 5 to 7 tons that we could make at the beginning,
in 2010, when I practically stopped,
I went down between 20 rushes,
maybe 80 to 80 kilos.
That's the maximum.
It was a good stop for my job.
We are in a region of great horticulture,
with a lack of biodiversity,
with a lack of vegetables, different flowers, trees in the region,
which makes the land with pesticides and treatments
that they put on it,
water and so on.
Knowing that there are other places in France
where it's calmer and there is no mortality rate,
you have to be optimistic about the future of bees and humanity.
I started the projectionist's job before 1990.
At the time, it was 35 mm.
Two 35 mm devices,
six mechanical devices, the Italian brand.
The number at home came in 2012,
with a big change for us,
as a horticulturalist,
compared to 35 mm,
since the number is only formative.
It was a time of adaptation.
Horticulturalism is something palpable and direct,
whereas digital, for us,
for a certain generation,
maybe it's virtual.
As much as the Horticulturalism,
we can directly intervene,
because it's more difficult on a digital level.
It's quite noisy.
The job has changed completely.
It's almost completely gone.
There is the format,
as it's difficult,
as it's the format,
because it's impossible on its own.
I make a similarity
to these two jobs,
which are forced,
and which we have forced,
by the monetization,
to change completely,
in a way of being,
in a way of evolving,
simply for the benefit,
to make even more economy,
and on the material,
and on the people, on the staff.
