Well video dough, we're here at Tim Wilson's gallery in the middle of Queenstown. Tim's
been here for five years Tim and amazing artwork it really honestly is and you know
you even get to enjoy to watch Tim work and it's just amazing how you know he
uses the various paints to put light in and you know and the detail etc and you
can see the fine work I may just come in a little bit closer getting between the
artist and the canvas absolutely staying work and I was showing you was
showing this the other day about the cycling the lights on you can take them
up and down if you have a look at this you'll see it actually it's not doing
it justice this video but you can see as the lights go down like different parts
of the image of the sorry the canvas if you will it just changes color and it's
the way that Tim paints it he actually paints it in different layers so that
the canvas actually responds to a different type of light it's just
absolutely stunning I just funny a bit hard to show you exactly what it does
but it's like that's how you paint and you develop you develop that system or
your method of painting and most things in the painting process when you learn
to do something it's always by accident so this I'm just putting a
translucent wash over these mountain peaks and adding some suggestions of
rainbow I don't know whether you can see that variation on that brush to just
suggest the presence of rain this incredible the other day we were in
here and we're showing him some of our photos if you will from Iceland and so
on and you know not like us we go oh you know like picking various colors you
know beautiful greens and everything Tim would go oh that's what was it
Bond green number five was I mean chrome green number frame green number five
yeah so it was all like he specifically knew each color back to is it
pantone colors or is it no these are no these are plain these are pigments that
have been used naturally ultramarine yeah made out of ground Tim quality
lapis lazuli that one there an extraordinary pigment that's the original
oh that's the original ultramarine all those masters when you see some of those
beautiful old pictures the blues anyway I'll give you a quick look around the
gallery and so thanks Tim fantastic
look at some of these work it's just stunning you know again I don't think
this does it justice just gives you an idea that's all the stuff we're looking
at if you all work hard I'm sure you'll save enough money you'll be able to buy
one of these we'll be here yeah Tim will be here say that will be this one the
colors of this just fantastic it's hard with the with the light that's anyway
be a diary signing off at Timmy Wilson's gallery cheers bye
