Hi, my name is Kailana Forge-Roth.
Hi, I'm Ariana Ediborff.
Hi, my name is Aina Cabell.
Hello, my name is Sydney.
ECTA provides sentence instruction while integrating essential activities to enhancing the overall athletic development.
Beginners start with hand-eye coordination and body mechanics, intermediate practice hand movement and record preparation, advanced work on game strategy and techniques.
I like this camp because it helps me improve my game.
And here at the tennis camp, I've come through that. He teaches us tennis and I think I've really improved in tennis ever since I've gone here.
We started the tennis camp about four or five years ago, 2007. We wanted to help children burn the game of tennis while incorporating health and fitness.
And I've been with ECTA. This is my first summer with the camp here all summer.
I've been attending the program for three summaries now.
About five years.
Second was this last spring.
I came the whole summer every day.
Coach Koozad is a nice person.
He taught me tennis since I was three.
I've been playing tennis since I was six years old.
The tennis camp is really fun. I like getting involved last.
And I like the camp because I'm playing tennis and it's one of my favorite sports.
ECTA staff provides students personalized instruction and critiques of all strokes and footwork.
Research performed by Dr. Joan Finn of Southern Connecticut University show tennis players compared to other athletes and non-athletes scored higher on vigor, optimism, and self-esteem.
Repetition for skill improvements are mixed with game mechanics and modeled by instructors for tournament strategy.
ECTA is committed to making your child's experience one they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
They talk to you actually how to get it over.
At first I really couldn't hit the ball, but now that I was taught how to hit, I can hit really well.
This is actually during the first year here, but we definitely are going to be registering again for next year because she's been improving.
I've seen the attitude towards the game get better.
Coach Cruzette is great. He teaches us everything we need to know to get better. Coach Will it is too.
I think they're the most, like, definitely the best coaches ever. Coach Cruzette is, like, very chiseled.
When he tells you, like, what we need to do and he gives us great advice.
I can hit the ball better now and it's easier for me to hit it over.
And then Coach Will it is the tough one who, like, coaches us better than we think that we will.
My responsibilities are making sure that the kids are coordinated, understanding the skills of tennis, developing what we call pressure training.
But then Coach Cruzette helped me learn more about tennis, so yeah, it's pretty good here.
The most fun part of the camp is watching kids enhance their skills and develop new character traits as well as leadership skills within the game of tennis and within the game of life.
Last year I played number one doubles on varsity.
I used to be in a tennis tournament and our team won first place and I was very happy and I was very proud of myself.
Many of our kids go on to participate in tournaments. However, obviously the younger kids are the ones that typically are building skills and a life.
The older kids after ten years old are the ones that will go on and play tennis within the tournament schedule.
I think that it's a great camp. A lot of hard work, but it does pay off.
It's all about the leadership here at the camp and I really believe that Durinka will be a better tennis player if she continues coming.
Yeah, I'm going to come back next year so I can get better.
And I love it.
I think more of my friends will come.
Yes, absolutely. We're definitely going to register her and let all the other kids that's in her classes all know that there's definitely a great camp waiting for them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
