I believe that the Heart Hospital has distinguished ourselves as the premier hospital for providing
cardiovascular care.
The culture here is a very friendly culture, a family culture.
It is a family, it's a family of experts.
Instead of having two sets of eyes or one doctor looking at you, many times you may
have four, six, eight, or ten sets of eyes and coming up with a solution that we think
will be best served and that's one of the strengths of our program.
Each case is specifically tailored for each patient.
It takes the techs, the nurses, the anesthesiologists, when they come in here, when they have their
scrubs on, it's giving more than a hundred percent for our guests.
It is a tour de force to get a great quality outcome.
Guests can get everything they need in one location, all testing, all diagnostics, but
essentially they can walk out here with the answers and that's the most important thing.
What makes this place so special is all of the employees who work here to serve guests
and to make their stay extraordinary.
When people come in, they hear language like, this is a suite, you're a guest, not a patient.
The nurses ask the question, how are you?
Not how you're doing, but how are you?
They try to make sure that every client when they walk through our door feels like they
are the only patient that we have.
Nursing is an art and a science.
The art side of nursing is the caring, it's the compassion.
It's making sure a patient's needs are met.
It's not all about what we do or how we do it, it's about how we treat the people that
we're doing it to.
Being with the guests and seeing them transition from being in the hospital to graduating cardiac
rehab, I love seeing their journey and hearing their stories.
The culture is one of compassion and caring giving that comes from the heart.
You can see it in all the different team members here at the heart hospital.
What we understand here is it's not for us, it's for the guests, it's for their family.
When you walk through the door, you are now our family.
You're going to be passionate about their care, you're going to be passionate about
their outcome.
Nursing, in a sense, is a calling.
I know that I'm going to make a difference in someone's life.
It's a passion that everyone here has.
I'm in the business of saving lives, it makes me feel proud.
