So it was always this ensemble sort of established, and then he was gone and I came in as a new
guy.
So it was, um, there was that feeling of like, I'm a guy from the outside, which was perfect.
Exactly who Dr. Walgrew was on the show.
And it even worked, you know, with Jim, because at first he was, you know, we met and we were
first couple times and we didn't really know each other very well, but then as the show
goes on, as we got on the shooting, we got to know each other better and better.
We shared hotel rooms and free food.
Very conditioning.
And so it all sort of, it's telling how things sync up with the show and what's actually
happening in the production.
And you have Jessica in bed and I say, you take that?
Yeah, I remember, uh, there was one of the videos in the house.
I'm just going to review it.
There was one of the video blogs where, uh, Jack has introduced us, Walter, and I think
he said something about, I met Jim, we worked with him, and he, I'm the way that I am.
Already in the middle of scenes, there are moments where he just irritates the hell out
of you, which is exactly right.
There are some moments, but, you know, it, uh, it was interesting for me, like Jack was
saying, to go back and re-shoot pilot with a different actor and, you know, not let
my choices be the same choices because it's a different person and I would have to react
differently.
My life tended to reflect what was going on in the script and so I was able to directly
draw from my life to, um, play this character.
And in terms of my relationship with Jack, you know, it just evolved over time.
It just, the, the writing became so easy to work with because, you know, the pilot
episode, Josh didn't have an idea of who we were, but then he started developing
relationships with us and, uh, knew our relationship with each other.
And so, uh, it just became easier and easier to pull through the page and just act, act
as per that.
The question is one thing that you will never forget that you'll take away from this
shoot.
Yeah, I guess, um, when there's been making a film or a stage, uh, production, there's
always one, uh, actor or a cleaner actor, there's an asset.
And, uh, the surprises about that, that's not how long that series is.
The surprises about that production, that was not on TV on the side.
Maybe it was me, but, uh, it's a dull relationship.
Usually Americans are not that smart.
Um, usually American writers would, uh, paint a 40, it's a Russian character, black or
white, and that's how it was evil, it was kind, it was nice.
That was actually the first time where I was in production where it's not that straightforward.
So that was, that was very nice.
But one thing, that's kind of a hard thing, I can't possibly list it.
Like maybe it's fast.
Yeah.
Someone wrote some fanfiction for Pie Year One, and I will never, ever forget that.
As long as I'm there.
Uh, Jim at the Hamilton and Greenwell.
There was a scene where I was writing on a whiteboard, and it was a beauty.
It's a long thing.
I'll speak to that and give it to you in a couple of days.
And, uh, the whiteboard just went crashing down to the ground.
And I'm still dying to see that.
One thing, I'll take away is being roommates with Alexander Black.

that I found the whole thing really inspiring and we realized there's no excuses like they
can make this many episodes on such a little budget it makes me feel like I can do anything.
On every episode the same thing surprised the shit out of me that they asked me to come back.
I have one. I was getting a call. Who was it that called? Was it you?
No, it was Dan.
So I'm getting a call and running back from there and getting a little bit of a turntable downpour
and finding out that they just got hit by a...
No.
Here's the hit. There.
It was Mickey Dan and Jim here. They got hit by a car and me through the window right now.
We've just been able to show this and we've got to take care of our people who might be really hurt.
The most amazing thing about that experience was they, Bruce Lee, Josh and Rachel were following
in a car behind us and they pulled out, Bracey gets out and he's like, is everyone okay?
Okay, good. There's automatic weapons in your car.
The cops are coming. Let's get them.
The cops are out there.
