I'm Movanna, I'm from Hong Kong, and this is my first time come to here in Sicily,
China. It's part of my traveling into my bookshelf project, so this time is traveling into
Elizabeth's bookshelf, knitting with her writing, with her paper, so around the city, Sicily here.
And my traveling into your bookshelf project is that in 2009, I have been traveling to different
cities and knitting with different people and with the story around the city and the books
about the people, about the writer. I start knitting with paper since I started in 2003,
and that's my first assessment project, so it's the way to measuring yourself. Sometimes wake up
10 o'clock, knitting until midnight, 12 o'clock, all the time, knitting and traveling, and it's
the way to enjoy life and meeting with people, the way, two-way communication of my project,
like how you meet some new people and traveling to a stranger's city to experience their life.
This part in Milan, this part in London with different people, and this is the never-ending
story in German version, but I read the English version, I know the story. This part is in US,
in Philadelphia. This is Gone with the Wind in Korean version. For my traveling project,
every part has a story about me and the person who gave me the book, so it's also a secret
memory between us, so it's not open to others, but only can recall in the pieces when the journey
I'm traveling into their bookshelves, knitting with them, so no one will find out, so it's, but already there.
You can remember in your mind, then it's okay, and you transform into your art, so it's very good.
You can transform something you love, you like, into your art in an actual way, to present,
to showing, share, to public.
Four, five, six, seven. Seven is in London. I think I learned about myself first. I, in here,
I take a break, a rest time to, not to just work for the job, or busy for a hurry, everything,
so just take a break, so it's a way to see myself, understand myself more, and then second thing is
learn about the culture. So this is my seventh location of my traveling into your bookshelve project,
so here is very different than where I am from Hong Kong. People like, slow, they like, relax,
enjoy life here. It's a good place to take a break here, and nice people I meet here so far,
everyone very nice, and every day just have coffee here, and just rest and take a break.
