why should we care about driving at all it's how we get from one place to the
next we do it every day it's a source of frustration we hate it we hate driving
we hate being stuck in traffic but we can still love driving I grew up in a
rural town driving on country roads moving fast through space like air like
water it's wonderful
I love driving I love these moments you can think zone out admire the scenery
Boston is one of the prettiest cities I've ever driven through the river the
trees the architecture absolutely gorgeous but Boston is also the hardest
city I've ever driven in the layout makes no sense one way streets are
everywhere and Boston drivers are the most aggressive drivers I've ever seen
so while I love to drive in Boston I also hate it why as a city are we so
aggressive when we sit behind the wheel I'm gonna try to find out
traffic pedestrians ridden or herded animals vehicles street cars in other
conveyances either singly or together while using any street or highway for
the purpose of travel girl got hurt went to the heart
little we're running in front of you they cut me off all the time they don't
care I would describe Boston drivers as aggressive impatient stressful me first
I think of got in my way you see a lot of tailgating a lot of people that are in
the fast lane who are really stressed are cutting all the way over to the slow
lane and stressing the moderate drivers so you're gonna get cut off you're gonna
have people doing stupid things because they don't know the system they don't
know how the roads go they're all you know twisty-turvy one way here you are
you get a whole bunch of different ethnicities in one spot everybody's
gonna drive their own way Boston drivers go by the name of mass holes
because they drive like idiots and they usually cut people off they drive too
fast but usually it's a battle for space on the roads as a biker at least there's
no one else on the road as important as right there's nothing that's more
important than me getting to where I want to go and it doesn't matter what
laws are in place what laws I've forgotten what laws I'm gonna break
people angry in the United States or when they get behind a wheel they have
that sense of power they lose all sense of propriety getting from point A to
point B getting there efficiently not wasting time I think we like those are
things that are important to us these are my streets oh these are definitely my
I rule the streets oh absolutely no question about that every time we drove
into Boston we would just get completely lost and completely frustrated
because all the roads go everywhere and it doesn't make any sense because we're
tough you know we're tough in Boston the streets are tough the cops are tough
the winters are tough so yeah we have to be that way not beside the cars because
like total 21 cars in three years that's like the car of months it's a big
joke here you know that was the big joke is oh we're such bad drivers we're such
aggressive drivers let's laugh about it as opposed to doing something about it
we're changing our way
facts are stubborn things and whatever may be our wishes are inclinations with
the dictates of our passions they cannot alter the state of facts and
evidence
