I'm Howie, I'm Jed, we founded this cool thing, untradish fish.
So untradish fish, we're always looking for new members, new methods, you know, just
trying to expand the ways fishing can, you know, can go.
What fishing really means.
What it means, you know.
What it's come to mean recently.
And actually we brought one of our new members, his name is Tiberius, we call him Tib, or
Tib.
Tib!
So, you know, let him know where you're from, and what do you think about fishing in the
old ways and the newer way that we kind of agree with.
Man, fishing is just too easy now.
Like if fish were real, there's just no challenge for people anymore.
Yeah.
So untradish fish, we try to do it straight away from traditional ways of fishing actually.
So instead of catching them and eating them, we do like a catch and release.
Yeah.
Catch and release.
You know, similar to like traditional fishing, you know, the word I like to toss around is
wholesome.
You know, I feel like some people are fishing for bad reasons or like unwholesome reasons.
And you have to be like grateful that nature is provided.
Right.
Yeah.
And I think now with industries, it's kind of straight from that idea.
For sure.
Evolution, man.
Yeah, that's a good one.
That's a good point to bring up.
So I'm going to show you guys like the way I fish and I use this microphone, okay?
And I plug it into the ice just like that.
And by doing that, I actually have access to the whole river.
Fish will hear me.
Like, oh, we got to turn it on.
Hey, fishy, hey, fishes, fishes, come here, I have a peace offering.
It's there if you want it, come and get it, fishy.
Yeah, I turned the mic off, they can't hear me right now, but I think they got the message.
That's how he fishes over there.
He's roping them.
He likes to catch them with the rope, but he thinks knots are invasive.
So he just uses the plain rope.
So we threw a rope in the water and just kind of, ever so slowly jiggled it.
We learned that the ancient way, tossing vines, they use vines, we don't have vines, so we
use rope.
Throw a rope in and you just wiggle it around.
And the fish like the motion on top of the water, I guess, and they kind of just went
right to it.
They just wrapped themselves in it.
And then you jerk it back with the fish.
This is the rope knot.
So you didn't use knots?
Tip, I never caught them and said that.
You just stand there.
It's invasive?
It's not invasive, they are attracted to it.
They're attracted?
No, right, that makes sense, that makes sense.
Anyway, so this knot here, I like to call the loophole, the fish see this and they come
swimming, you've got to get the form.
Right on target.
See some?
Yeah, you're good.
Great.
The only problem is the current sometimes takes the knot and they bring it back to shore.
Another one to try is over the head throw.
And this takes a little bit more practice and it took me a few months to perfect.
You want enough loose ends here.
So when you get the throw out, all right, it has some slack.
This current, it's the current man, I can't do it.
Yeah, I don't know.
Water's not working with me today.
This fish all over you know.
I should try talking to him?
Yeah.
Yeah, how's that work out for you?
I'm working on it.
I'm so close, like three years, but I'm getting close man.
Jay, if you really just stop vaping around the set, this is pissing off the fish mate.
They get addicted.
They come back.
It's because you're addicted, doesn't mean they are.
They will be if I do it enough.
How's the binoculars going?
Can't see shit.
Jed's actually going to show us some of the new equipment we just brought on.
What do you do with those?
So these here, these are binoculars.
These are Empire Model 257s.
I don't know if you guys are getting binoculars, models and stuff.
But I just look straight in the water.
Do I ever see fish?
Almost never.
It doesn't happen very often.
It doesn't happen.
About one time.
But what it does happen, when it does, I see that fish through and through.
So what I'll do is, you see here, oh sorry, that's awkward.
So what I'll do is I'll see the fish, right, I'll see through it, and then I'll say fish
on.
And then clearly, you know, he'll throw it.
I'm the support character in this case.
You know, a lot of people don't give credit to something like that.
And it's part of it.
It's necessary.
And over.
Hey, we got a big guy right here.
My rope doesn't go that far, boss.
Fish on?
Fish on?
I wrote.
It doesn't go that far.
But anyways, so what we'll do is, you know, it's just fish on or fish off if he's trying
to pull it back in.
You know, fish off.
Oh, that's stupid.
What happened?
Found something.
What'd you find?
Is it a fish?
Fish on?
Stealed fish.
Just caught it.
That's a railroad spike.
He says that's not a fish.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Keep spotting.
I know it's in a foreign part of the process.
How did it come to us?
So Tib seems to think that vaping somehow gets in the fish's lungs or gills.
That's what they say in the industry.
And he thinks that they get addicted to the nicotine.
I just think that's incorrect.
I think it's incorrect.
But, you know, hey, his method is better, you know, could be like mine.
He could be right.
And the vape could be something that is really attractive to the fish.
But, you know, we're just accepting of all methods here at Untradish Fish.
But, yeah, see if anything, just do a quick scan.
Sometimes people say, you know, what is a fish?
Like what is a fish?
And Tib, Tib here, he hasn't caught a lot, actually hasn't caught anything.
Today he did find that.
No.
Oh, he didn't find it.
I helped him find it.
Okay.
Yeah, so.
No, but like I am a relatively new member.
Okay.
I've been.
You guys can actually contact us by email at untradishfish.org organization.
Is there a phone number?
Do we have a phone number for you?
You got that?
Fishing line and like hooks, lures.
No thanks.
Say what?
It's too easy.
This is what you need.
It's all you need.
Rope.
Maybe a microphone too.
A microphone.
A microphone.
A glove.
A good glove.
A good glove.
Venoculars.
You need the support.
The spotter is probably the most important job.
You know, it is.
He sees the fish from above.
Bird's eye view.
We catch them.
All day.
Perfect.
Kelly.
Technology for fishing.
Sometimes I like to make little patterns officially like that.
