Cranford Church will host its monthly prayer and healing service on Thursday, September
7th at 6.30pm.
This service is held the first Thursday of each month and for more information you can

The annual Virginia Indian Festival will be held at River Bend Park in Great Falls on
Saturday, September 9th.

This popular day-long annual event begins at 10am and includes a variety of family-appropriate
activities.
The festival features performances by members of eight Native American tribes from Virginia,
including the Rappahannock dancers and drummers.
The annual crab feast dinner at Pohick Church will be held the afternoon of Saturday, September
9th, from 3.30pm until 6pm.
The menu will include crabs, fried fish, steamed fish, potato salad, pork barbecue sandwiches,
corn, hush puppies, and hot dogs for the kids.
The cost is $30 per adult, ages 21 and older, 15 for children, ages 13 to 20.

The homecoming celebration of Shiloh Baptist Church in Lorton will be held September 10th
at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
The guest speaker is Reverend Joshua W. Spites, Papster of Neabsco Baptist Church in Woodbridge.

Vendor applications are now being accepted for the annual South County High School Holiday
Extravaganza and Craft Show, which is held on the first Saturday in December.
Spaces sell out, so do apply early.

On the 17th, there's the Simple Changes 2nd Annual Hippo Run and Walk to support Hippo
Therapy at Simple Changes Therapeutic Riding on Meadowood's beautiful rural setting.
The mission of Simple Changes is to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Then on the 30th, there's the South County School Twilight Rock and Run, featuring a
one-mile glow walk and kids' fun run.
